Karen teaches 7th grade English at Shenango Middle School. Each fall semester I work with Karen and my secondary preservice teachers to help them broaden their literacy lens for secondary students. I am slowly discovering the power of disciplinary literacy for math, English, biology, Spanish and history majors.
