"Remember, senor." "there's no magic at work, this time, and nothing at all like that, because I've seen an honest to God lion claw between the bars and cracks in those cage, which leads me to think a claw that big has got to belong to a lion bigger than a mountain". Don Diego said to himself: "Is there anything crazier than to put on a helmet full of cottage cheese and persuade yourself that magicians have been softening your skull? And what could be wilder or more reckless than to deliberately pick a fight with lions ?" Theses quotes are important to the chapter because it's letting you know it about lions. I love the second one because Don Diego he trying to be funny about what happen to the master. Quotes makes the chapter come more alive. There's a lot of different quotes in this chapter but the ones I pick stand more out.
