I was able to recognize many different culture/race stereotypes in this specific episode of The Office. This assignment helped me to learn more on how the media can influence their audience. Even though this show is a comedy series, there are many moments where varies races and cultures are portrayed poorly. I was able to think outside of box and think of what teenagers would like to do for fun. Along with finding a smooth, creative way to challenge this group of teens to complete my objective of having teens challenge their own identity. I can use this in my future role as a mental health counselor when working in large group counseling sessions.
