I 100% agree with this review. Although there are multiple reasons I agree, I'll only state a few. The first is the fact that he has read all of the Tom Clancy books makes me feel comfortable as a reader to trust this opinion, this is because I myself have not read all of them and if there's someone who puts in the effort and time to read the book, analyze is then create a review I will gladly validate your opinion. Another reason why I agree with this reviewer is the language and metaphors he uses, for example he regarded Dead or Alive as like a NBA dream team because all the characters come together to defeat "Emir" the terrorist group, this kind of language makes me feel I know what he's talking about which makes me trust him.

“That’s up to you, Jack, but part of doing this kind of work is the willingness to put on blinders. Deal with what’s in front of you. Every terrorist has a mother and father. Maybe kids, maybe people that love him. Six days out of seven he might be a decent citizen, but on that one day he decides to pick up a gun or plant a bomb, he’s a threat. And if you’re the guy standing between him and innocent lives, the threat is all you can afford to worry about. You get what I’m saying?” (Clancy 800).

This quote shows the reality of fighting against terrorism. Although I can only imagine the guilt that comes when you kill somebody who has a family, and someone thats happy to see them whenever they are home this is the reality of life. You are in charge of the security of millions of lives and What if it means killing someone so the population remains safe? Well then so be it. That's how I interperted this quote, also I praise them for being able to shut out there empathy when it comes to killing people because I know it's no easy to cut off a part of yourself.

This flag was designed by Milton Glaser who also did the I <3 NY logo. The blue in the flag is supposed to mean peace and the circle is supposed to mean that we are all united. The number one means that we are all one. I choose symbol because in my book there is constant war, every perspective you switch to is either your in war, or your planning to get in war. If we were all to be together as one there would be no need for bloodshed and there would be peace.

Literary Element and explanation

The arthur uses foreshadow really well, an example of this is when a member of the "Emir" (a terrorist group) boards a private plane. First he acts all suspicious and we know because the arthur gave us hints such as the pilots not being able to see there passengers and not knowing what kind of baggage they are carrying. In the end when the passengers get off the plane they press a button and the plane starts dwindling down. Tom Clancy is able to foreshadow so well because after you read that part and realize wow, I knew this outcome 2 chapters ago! You know he did a good job.

Tom Clancy is not just a one and go writer. He was one of the 3 writers in 1990 that sold 2 million copies of there book on their first print which is amazing considering he's not that prominent. Unfortunately he died on October 1, 2013 of a disclosed disease. He joined the army reserve and was no eligible because of his nearsightedness this might have caused his fascination to the military and then the authorization of his books.
