         <description><![CDATA[<div>Example 1: Finding the Perimeter of a Polygon<br>Look at the measurements of each of the sides, then add them together to find the perimeter.<br><br>Example 2: Using a Formula to Find Perimeter<br>Find out the length and width of your shape to use in the formula (2xl)+(2xW). Then, multiply both of the measurements by 2. Switching both of the products to addends, find the sum which will be the perimeter.<br><br>Example 3: Finding Unknown Side Lengths and the Perimeter of a Polygon<br>A: What is the side length of side a of the perimeter equals 105m?<br>First gather all the lengths that you know. Then add them together. Finally, subtract your sum from the total perimeter.<br><br>B: What is the perimeter of the polygon?<br>Use example a to find the unknown measurement. Lastly, add all the sides together to find the perimeter.<br><br>C: What is the perimeter of the rectangle if the length is 3 times the width?<br>Replace your variable with the width and multiply. Use the formula two times L plus two times W. Substitute L with the length and W with the width and multiply each by two. Find the perimeter by adding both products together.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Example 1: Add all the side lengths to find the perimeter.<br><br>Example 2: You can multiply the length and width each by two and add them. For this you have to use the formula P= 2W + 2L.<br><br>Example 3a: You have to add all the known lengths and then make an algebraic expression such as Total (100) = x+40. After this you subtract the sum of the known sides from each side of the equal sign. Therefore giving you an algebraic expression like 60=x.<br><br>Example 3b: You have to find the sides opposite of the variable and then add them to get the unknown side of the figure. Finally add all the sides including the unknown measurement and the sum is the perimeter.<br><br></div><div>Example 3c: First you have to find the unknown measurement. Then substitute the variable with the unknown measurement. Then multiply the length with the width. Use the formula for finding the perimeter of a rectangle P= 2W + 2L. Then substitute the length and width with the W and L in the formula. Multiply the length and width each by 2 and then add them.</div>]]></description>
