         <description><![CDATA[<div>John Dalton was responsible for Dalton's Law of <strong>Multiple Proportions </strong>in 1808. <strong>Atomic Theory</strong>: Published in 1808, states that each element has its own unique set of atoms with unique properties including atomic mass. The <strong>Law of Multiple Proportions</strong> states that, when two elements combine to form a compound, the ratios of atomic masses of one element are combined with a fixed mass a of a second are in a ratio of whole numbers.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
