The volunteers feel exuberant as they are helping to clean the beach by picking up visible litter and digging deep down in sands to dispose fish nets and plastic waste.This act shows me that they are compassionate citizens who are doing their part in keeping the world clean and a better place for the next generation to come.Furthermore, there would be many volunteers who are disappointed at the actions of other irresponsible users of the beach.The beach should be a place where you spend time with loved ones and carry out recreational activities.Therefore i dont think anyone would want to have to worry about them sitting on a pile of rubbish.Plastic pollution has also impacted sea creatures in a detrimental manner as many more animals are being endangered due to it consuming plastic waste.This has also affected their movement which would burden many daily activities of their life as they are trapped in plastic waste.Therefore there would be many emotions running through their mind as they help to volunteer at the beach

 

What are some efforts your school or neighbourhood have taken towards saving the environment? 

There has been plenty of efforts done by my school and neighbourhood towards saving the environment.My school had especially emphasised on the importance of taking great care of our world.My school has initiated many Values In Action (VIA) projects for us students to organise and carry out whatever and wherever we think the environment needs more caring for.For example,before Covid 19 had struck, my fellow classmates and I went around the neighbourhood collecting newspapers to put into greater use.We took this opportunity to interact with our neighbours and heeded to their worries.Another way the school has contributed towards saving the environment is by setting up Green Service Club (GSC).The CCA has set up many initiatives to help the environment and the school into going green, by setting up incineration. Therefore these impacts carried out by our schools have made our environment a better place to live in.
