We find on the basal floor, with holm oak groves rich in junipers that give way to Pyrenean oak groves, which, when climbing even higher, the Scots pine forests that are
those that occupy the upper limit of the arboreal formations, only surpassed in altitude by
padded thickets of broom and dwarf juniper.

In the peaks where the persistence of snow is very prolonged for the development of the
woody vegetation, herbaceous plants will appear, forming the high mountain.

SOIL
The pine forest is a forest ecosystem, in which the arboreal layer is formed by trees that compete for light, for air space and for which their roots need, in this case powerful, with a long and strong root, which penetrates the deep soils and many secondary roots that, in the rocky lands reach great development, thus increasing their protective and colonizing value, by being able to grow on steep slopes and initiate a process of soil formation, avoiding the serious dangers of erosion.

HERBACEOUS
Companion shrub species is the taray, which grows together with all kinds of
Herbaceous, such as bulrush, reed, yellow lily and several of the mint genus that have numerous hybrids and forms
cultivated, often naturalized.
In the groves the invertebrates proliferate that form the basis of one of the most complex
food webs of nature.
