For her, this kind of behavior which is lying is not good but she know her employee lie due to fear of their employer. An employee will call in sick to go for interviews because companies frown against employees interviewing at another company. HR should put up a more friendly culture that will encourage people to progress in their careers taking up other jobs and even support them throughout the process. So as a manager, she have to make one ethical program which is ethics audit. It's because she wants to ensure that everyone will follow the ethics standard. If the employees want to go for interviews at another company, make sure the employees will follow the ethic standards and the company basic rules.

We all have our own dreams, aspirations and beliefs that drive us. Never think for a second that money drives all motivation.

Training Ethical Decision Making

Organizations use compliance and ethics programs to demonstrate and reinforce their commitment to ethical practices.

Many organizations implement compliance and ethics programs to help guide the decision making and behavior of employees. Compliance with regulatory requirements and the organization’s own policies are a critical component of effective risk management. Monitoring and maintaining compliance is not just to keep the regulators happy—it is one of the most important ways for an organization to maintain its ethical health, support its long-term prosperity, and preserve and promote its values.

On a more practical level, a compliance and ethics program supports the organization’s business objectives, identifies the boundaries of legal and ethical behavior, and establishes a system to alert management when the organization is getting close to (or crossing) a legal or ethical boundary. Once an issue is detected, management must be prepared to respond quickly and appropriately to minimize the impact on the organization. The presence of compliance and ethics programs demonstrates an organization’s commitment to creating a work environment and corporate culture that values doing what is right, good, and just.

Ethics training inside corporations is aimed at helping employees address the moral dimension of business decisions. Training for ethical decision making can include workshops, guest lectures, and manager/employee discussions. Most ethics training focuses on clarifying and communicating an organization’s ethical code so employees understand what is expected. Some learning opportunities go beyond this to focus on how to take action when ethics are involved in a decision. Discussions of scenarios and role-playing exercises simulate real decision-making situations and provide practice in how to think through ethical considerations. Some ethics training will also cover the resources available to help employees when they face an ethical dilemma or suspect that someone in the organization has made an ethical breach.

The finance person that key in all the claim spotted something not right when a staff filed travelling claim for 13th May 2017, when the staff only went on business travel on 15th May 2017. This raised the managers concern because these kind of action will affect the company’s financial in the long run.

Amirul Falah Bin Bahtiar
(012019070980)

One of the issues rising from McDonald's CSR work, revolves around the Ronald McDonald house charity. Ronald McDonald was a fictional character designed to represent the McDonald's industry; who has now been removed as their company representative mascot, due to child exploitation issues. This charity has now lost much of its recognition due to the mishap. In addition to this, all the charities McDonald's work for, revolve around a small demographic; young children. To widen their demographic and their CSR, McDonald's needs to increase the amount of CSR revolved work; which could mean donating and representing more charities, or involving themselves in more community work. However, what McDonald's has done positively, is involving themselves in several charities, demonstrating their interest and longing to help the community and other people in need.
