Portugal is a beautiful European country located on the Iberian Peninsula. It has a land border with Spain and a maritime border with the Atlantic Ocean. Its capital is the city of Lisbon. It has about ten million inhabitants. Of the total population, about five percent are immigrants from different origins: Brazil, Ukraine, Cape Verde, Moldova, Romania, Guinea-Bissau, Angola, East Timor, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe and Russia.

In Portugal, the Mediterranean climate prevails, being one of the hottest countries in Europe. Traditionally, Portugal has always had a strong connection with agricultural activity, however, nowadays, its economy is mainly based on the service and industrial sectors.

Our country is full of enchanting landscapes, with hospitable people and a varied and delicious cuisine!

Portugal has a fascinating history and, for this reason, we are motivated to expand our knowledge of our ancestors and relevant historical events. We loved analyzing the Portuguese flag and found out what its colors and the symbols it contains mean. We hear and sing our hymn.

We are committed to getting to know our country better and to contribute to making it more sustainable, as well as the entire Planet!...

1st year students (Devesinha School)

http://navegadoresdasletras.blogspot.pt
