Then I chose Piet Mondrian because I really like his style with primary colours. First, I painted the base white - quite a few times - until you could barely see the cardboard. When the paint dried, I made the shapes that I wanted with a black sharpie. After, I painted some red, blue, yellow and black. (I left some white.) This piece was inspired by Pablo Picasso's cubism, because I love how you can add so many shades of colors and it won't clash. The background of the piece has brighter, warmer colors to represent the rose period, and the earth itself uses cooler shades of blue and green to represent the blue period. To make this piece I first sketched the earth and the background in pencil. After that I proceeded to fill it all in with paint, being careful to follow the pencil lines (I had to do this a few times to get the paint opaque). I started by coating the card board in a thin layer of watered down white paint. After a few coats dried i started sketching with my pencil. Then I moved on to outlining with a black marker.
