         <description><![CDATA[<p>What is it?</p><ul><li><p>Excessive emotionality and attention-seekers</p></li><li><p>Feel uncomfortable or feel unappreciated when they are not the center of attention</p></li><li><p>Self-centered way or sexually seductive inappropriate situations, including social, occupational, and professional relationships</p></li><li><p>Lively and dramatic</p></li><li><p>Charm new acquaintances with their enthusiasm and be opened or flirtatious</p></li></ul><p><br></p><p>Symptoms:</p><ul><li><p>Self-centered</p></li><li><p>Seeking reassurance or approval</p></li><li><p>Rapidly shifting emotional states that appear shallow to others</p></li><li><p>Opinions are easily influenced by other people, but difficult to back up with details</p></li><li><p>Overly concerned with physical appearance, and using physical appearance to draw attention to self</p></li><li><p>The symptoms must cause significant impairment or distress in an individual</p></li><li><p>Tendency to believe that relationships are more intimate than they actually are</p></li></ul><p><br></p><p>Causes and effect:</p><ul><li><p>Unknown, but childhood events and genetics may both be involved</p></li><li><p>Frequently diagnosed in women due to being socially acceptable compared to men</p></li><li><p>Usually able to function at a high level</p></li><li><p>May seek treatment for depression when their romantic relationships end</p></li><li><p>Often fail to see their own situation realistically as they tend to overdramatize and exaggerate</p></li><li><p>Those with disorder typically cast blame on others instead of taking responsibility</p></li><li><p>High risk of developing depression</p></li></ul><p><br></p><p>Treatment: Psychotherapy</p><p><br></p>]]></description>

         <title>What&#39;s the science in HPD?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>There is a strong correlation between the function of neurotransmitters and the Cluster B personality disorders such as HPD.</p></li><li><p>Individuals will have highly responsive noradrenergic systems, which are neuronal networks that is responsible for the synthesis, storage, and the release of the neurotransmitter, norepinephrine. </p></li><li><p>High levels of norapinephrine -&gt; anxiety-proneness, dependency, and high socialbility.</p></li><li><p>However there hasn't any much evidence to find the actual root that causes HPD to occur. -&gt; No direct causes are inconclusive</p></li></ul>]]></description>
