Developing: I explore a few ways of manipulating the elements to develop a solution that is partially developed to some detail. I had tested and/or improved my prototypes at least once.

Needs Improvement:
I explore one way of manipulating the elements to develop a solution that is superficially developed, lacking in detail. I made only one prototype and did not test and/or improve it.

Needs Improvement: I could not identify any strength and weakness and provide an inaccurate evaluation of the generated ideas/solutions.

2. Melody:
Using the scale, we were able to string and piece together different notes that sounded melodious with one another. We also ensured that it was louder and prominent as compared to other parts to show that it was the melody.

3. Chords:
The chords give the melody a fuller and more complete sound. It also adds to the creativity of the peice. Through the notes in the chord, we can come up with an accompaniment that does not clash with the melody or the chords.

Teacher's Comments (drums): It was slightly messy. However, when there was a mistake, we did not stop but moved on with the piece, which was commendable. The change from four beats to three beats was also nice.

Teacher's comments (mallets): It was much better than the first attempt and smoother. However, the group should have attempted to give Shao Yee an easier role as she had not attended the lesson the previous week. Overall, it is good.

Sound Scape:
1. The sounds of the environment; to treat the world soundscape as a musical composition of which man is the principal composer, and to make critical judgments which would lead to its improvement. Give your opinion.

In my opinion, man should be able to string together the corresponding notes into a pleasant tune. There are many sounds in the environment, and man should take advantage of this abundance and utilise as many sounds as possible to create interesting melodies. 

Personally, due to the myriad of sounds available and ripe for the taking, man should use and experiment with different sounds. Even though a tune may sound decent, man should not become complacent, but instead, strive for betterment. This is why man should make the best choices when choosing sounds for certain parts of the tune like the melody or chords. Man should try out various different sounds to find out which is most fitting for the role and most able to bring out the intended moods.

Reflection:
We had many options on freesound but we decided for me to insert and play the piano tune. For the other sound effect and additional sounds, we used freesound and browsed through the plethora of sounds that we had access to. We picked out the most fitting sound effects for the clip. Overall, I learnt that simple everyday sounds can be put together to form a nice song.
