My laptop broke last month and it was so painful to live without it. Luckily I got a new one using my pocket money very soon. Anyway, if you want a new laptop but you don't have enough money, I'd recommend you to go ask your parents to lend you some money, that way you can get a new laptop as soon as possible, don't forget to promise your parents that you will return the money you borrowed from them. 

My second advice is, if you don't want to ask for money from your parents, to get a job. Getting a job is a great way to become financially independent. I know you're a great teacher, why don't you get a job as a student tutor in one of those tutorial centers, that way you can get your money without asking someone.
