My name is Caden Shaffer and I am from Libertyville, IL. A community that I am a part of is the fishing community, and something unique about it is that it is passive for the most part. I have been able to practice global citizenship and learn from different cultures by having good friends from outside the U.S. Some of my best friends from high school are twins from Italy and a friend from Sao Paulo. Interacting with them and their families has certainly helped with my understanding of other parts of the world.

My name is Alexis Lopez. I am proudly apart of the Mexican Culture with deep roots to my hispanic heritage. One way I practice global citizenship is sharing my culture with those around me. I have many friends who are apart of different cultures but are still very interested in the Mexican Culture. I spread my culture through our food, music and language. I continue to aspire share more of my culture with those that are interested and I am extremely open to hearing about others cultures as well!

My name is Anastasija, and I also belong to the LGBTQ+ community. I practice global citizenship by understanding the culture Macedonia has in comparison to the culture in America. I also try different beverages (e.g., coffees and juices) and dishes that Macedonia offers.
