The following rivers flow through the commune: Wisła, Koprzywianka, Gorzyczanka and Polanówka. The Samborzec municipality on the east borders with the town and commune of Sandomierz, on the west it is adjacent to the Klimontów commune, from the south west with the Koprzywnica commune, and on the south-east coast it is based on the left bank of the Vistula river, behind which the city and commune of Tarnobrzeg is located .
In the Samborzec commune there are many places attractive for tourists. This is the Sandomierz Apple Trail, the wine route, the way of St. Jakub, the red tourist route Gołoszyce - Piotrowice and Gołoszyce - Annopol, the green cycling route Sandomierz - Sulisławice - the Krzyżtopór Castle in Ujazd, Green Velo. It is worth seeing here old village churches, presbyteries, manor houses, old tombstones or roadside statues and chapels, and legendary places.
