This week, Reception continued to expand our classroom provision, with our maths area and dough area now opened. The children were delighted! In the dough area, they enjoyed making birthday cakes for one another, decorating them with paper foil, sprinkles and pretend number candles. It was lovely to hear spontaneous bursts of Happy Birthday as the children created cakes and proudly presented them to their friends.

PE day for Reception Class is on Mondays 

This term in RE, we have been learning about Judaism and exploring what the Torah is and why it is so important to Jewish families. The children had the opportunity to look at a Torah in class and then create their own. Have a look at how creatively they decorated their Torahs!

PE days for Year 1 & Year 2 are on Mondays and Wednesdays 

Year 3 and 4 have been exploring the Amazon Rainforest in more depth using Google Earth. We have also been learning about the climate and location of the world’s rainforests, including the Equator and the Tropic lines. The children have really enjoyed discovering new information and researching why rainforests are located where they are.

PE days for Year 3 & Year 4 are Tuesdays & Thursdays 

Congratulations to our Year 5 and 6 Dodgeball Team for achieving 2nd place and winning silver medals.

The team displayed lightning-fast reactions, outstanding hand-eye coordination, and smart strategies that led them to an incredible victory in 12 out of 15 games, competing against 10 other Guildford schools at The Spectrum yesterday.

Year 5 and Year 6 were delighted to have Reverend Mark back in school this week for the first lesson of their new Christianity unit on the Trinity.

Reverend Mark introduced the concept in an engaging and accessible way, helping the children explore how Christians understand God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The session included discussion, reflection and interactive activities, all of which the pupils thoroughly enjoyed. It was a wonderful start to the unit.
