His parents were Juan Vásquez de Coronado y Sosa de Ulloa and Isabel de Luján. He was a younger son of a wealthy nobleman. Francisco Vasquez de Coronado then grew up and became a spanish explorer. </div><div><br></div>]]></description>

He died because his health decreased due to his expeditions.He died from a transmittable disease meaning it was contagious. He spent the last couple years of his life in part of a council before he then passed away.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>     On Coronadoś journey he joined up with Mendoza on an expedition. They traveled with lots of supplies. Later on some of the expedition departed from Compostela. Four months later he traveled with a more advanced group of people to the city of Cibola. They fled from a town of Zuni's but later on, Coronado got wounded during battle. He had found no riches, but he kept going on about his expedition. He had conquered the Indians.</div>]]></description>

He kept thinking and hearing that there were cities of gold that turned out to be villages that left him empty handed. His wealth soon was consumed due to his expedition. He did not achieve his goals because he did not find any gold. He was cleared from his charges but was removed from his governorship. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-1510 Francisco Vazquez de Coronado was born.<br>- 1530 He heard of the Seven Cities of gold.<br>- 1535 Coronado went to New Spain. <br>- 1535 A missionary claims to see the seven cities of gold.<br>- 1540 He headed to Mexico. Expedition is a failure.<br>- 1541 He found the Grand Canyon.<br>- 1542 He heads home because there was no gold to be found.<br>- 1547 Coronado continued to be cast out and had been cleared from charges. <br>- 1554 Coronado dies from a disease.<br>Later on in the 1930's through the 1950's things were built in memory and honor of Francisco Vazquez de Coronado.</div>]]></description>
