Typically, when ELL learners begin learning the language they will acquire their speaking skills much faster. Students hear the language spoken more often and therefore pick up quicker. For English, speaking students conversation is large part of their education. They learn from teacher lectures, conversation with their peers, and through online platforms such as Youtube.

In my opinion, listening is one of the most important language skills necessary for Physical Education. The students must be able to sit and hear (and understand) the instructions for the assignment, in order to complete the skill or game being taught that day. As their teacher, it is necessary to gauge whether or not they are actively listening by asking yes and no questions at the end, to ensure students understand the assignment.

It seems to me that I have the most success with speaking. Speaking is an imperative part of students developing better language skills. Having daily discussions with classmates helps the students gain better conversation skills and apply what they have learned. The more opportunities they have to speak in class, the more proficient they will become.
