Human Rights -Human rights are rights that we as people are entitled to. This means that just as being a human we earn these rights that will forever protect us because no one can take them and they are with us because no one can take them and they re with us no matter where we go.

 L.I.F.E. means to me:

In my mind L.I.F.E. represents a chain of events that led us to the fair, free world we live in today.

Living during the Age of Exploration and Colonization, the British explored new land and discovered America. The British colonized America and unfairly treated the colonies they had power over. This led to those who lived in colonies to begin to disagree with British rule and their ideas. This time period connects to Inventing with the Age of Reason and Revolution because if you go into further detail you will realize how many people began further disagreeing with Britain and so they grouped up and began fighting back against the British. After the colonies began fighting back, the revolution began where the colonies really focused and worked towards getting their independence from Britain. Rebelling led to violence, protests and many deaths.

The Age of Reason and Revolution connects to the Formulating of the Gilded Age and World War I because after America rebelled against British rule, the colonies gained their independence and a period of economic growth began for the U.S. The United States even began getting ahead of Britain with industrialism making heavy industry like factories, railroads, and coal mining.

The Gilded Age and World War I leads to Expanding because after WW1 things never stopped heating up and because of the present tension,WW2 rolled along. After WW2 there was still tension among countries but not in the same way. Countries began "competing" against each other for the best missile or about communism vs capitalism. After this "competition" otherwise known as the cold war occurred countries began begging for independence.

Age of Exploration and Age of Colonization

Topic: The Age or Exploration or a time when Europeans began exploring the world by sea in search of new trading routes, wealth, and knowledge. This topic connects to Human Right #30

Reflection: I think that on this project,I did not to terrible but I can definitely do a lot better. To what I remember,I got a 100 on this project which to me is rather surprising judging by the fact that it was very basic and nothing really stood out.I am proud that me and my group got all of the work done and it was on time.I could've used much better grammar and just in generally formatted it better.

Connection:I think that the age of exploration connects to human right number 30 "No one can take away you'r human rights" because this right is violated. This is violated because the natives who the British found in America had rights before but when the British came they kicked out the natives and made some slaves and made them do forced labor.

Application to present day:This connects to present day and even other lessons because if Britain did not explore and discover America then the Americans would have never been colonized ,they would have never revolted and many of the events that got us where we are today.

Gilded Age and World War I

Topic: The Gilded Age was a period in time where America got very industrial. This means that America began using many factories in producing many goods at one time.Because so many factories were constantly in use,America needed more workers so they began using children. This relates to Human Right #22,The Right to Social Security.

Reflection:To reflect on this project,I do think that I did very well.Although I do not remember the grade I got on this project,I can assume based off of my work and effort put into this project that I got an A or a 90% or higher.

Connection:I think that this assignment actually violates Human Right #22 or the right to Social Security. This Human Right basically says we all have the right to affordable housing, medicine, education, childcare, enough money to live on and medical help if we are old or ill. This relates because these children were working because their families needed the money since they can’t really afford anything and don’t have enough money to live off of.

Application to present day:This applies to present day and relates to today in many ways. For example this relates because now that a child labor law has been passed children are free to play and do what their heart pursues they do,but it really relates now days in some countries, people still use child labor on a daily.Which represents how some kids all around the world experience this, and how we need to find a way to stop it and monitor it for real this time,to ensure that every child around the world has the right to play and not be forced upon continuous labor.

World War II, New Nations, and the Cold War

Topic: The Cold War or a state of political hostility between countries characterized by threats, propaganda, and other measures short of open warfare. This topic relates to Human Right #19,The Right to Expression.

Reflection:Reflecting on this project,I think that I did well.I included everything required and laid everything out nicely. The only thing that looking back on I
could´ve used better grammar and capitalization.I briefly remember getting an A on this project which is a fitting grade.

Connection: This connects to Human Right #19,otherwise known as the Right to Expression connects to the Cold War but relatively to The Red Scare, which is just a puzzle piece of the Cold War.This connects because it was one of the many Human Rights denied in this time period. This is denied since they were not able to go unpunished and believe or express their feelings about the opposing political idea.

Application to present day: This still applies to today because people still today believe that they can not express themselves whether it is about the political ideas or even what sports team you enjoy.Whatever it is people don feel as if they an express it because they may be judged or maybe even punished. For example some people are scared to express things like their sexuality because it may make them too different from others and because of them being different, lead to them being bullied and judged by many, just for expressing how they really feel.So in a way,Right #19,Freedom of Expression,is still denied today.

At the beginning of the year, I believed "JUST" to mean(copied and pasted padlet down below)***
Personally I find that there is a lot of words used to describe what an ideal just community looks like but they all pretty much go along the same lines. I think that an ideal just community is where everyone is kind and gets what they deserve.I think that a just community definitely needs human rights, or rights that every human is entitled to. I also came to believe that it doesn’t matter where you are to be protected by human rights. A barrier to human rights would be that no one can take them, whether it's your parents, friends or even your president, no one can take your human rights. If someone didn't have human rights then they couldn't do anything freely and are treated unfairly. One champion of Human Rights is Martin Luther King Jr. He fought against discrimination to other races so that everyone could be treated the same. To support human rights and build a more just society I can treat people with respect and not just stand there as bad things happen.

Now at the end of the year, my thinking has slightly changed. Now I believe "JUST" to mean:
Now similar to what I said in the beginning of the year, I believe that to be "just" it means to be perfect. By perfect I actually mean a place where people don't feel forced to be perfect and a place where everyone is kind and everything is fair. I believe a just community is somewhere where you do not have to be afraid to be yourself or where you don't have to be afraid of being kidnapped or worse, experiencing a school shooting. A place where your looks, followers or popularity status don't define you and a place where no one, ever is forced to believe that they aren't good enough or that they don't belong to be living here in this terrible, cruel world that we have created.
