Other social impacts imperialism had on societies had to do with how people were civilized. In document 13 there is a picture shown of a commander or what looks like an important person being carried by two people from the lower class with the quotes "learning civilized ways is hard work." this image indicates that people with high power are starting to get lazy and make people with little to no power do all of the work. 

Document 10: A document that comes from a British historian, J.A.R Marriott says that "British brains, British enterprise, and British capital have changed the face of India" meaning that they tried to do anything to change India but India had improved in sanitation and also had higer standard of living. 

 

Document 9: Another document states how India became a colonial economy, Jawaharlal Nehru said the process continued throughout the 19th century and that the old industries in India were broken up after that India became an agricultural colony of industrial England which supplied raw materials and also provided markets for the England industrial goods this impacted the economy because of the fact that India was now given supplies to England such as raw materials and the also provided markets for the goods.
