Working in a retail environment, I know from experience that emails provide an effective communication channel and help build customer relationships. First, Youfit was effective in reaching me because of its Subject heading. People love offers and what a better way to capture someone's attention than promoting products for a lesser value. Also, I think this type of direct marketing was effective because the strategy elevated the brand's image. From the message, I can already conclude the brand cares for their customers and their health. Youfit wants to see their customers change for the better. To promote a healthier lifestyle, the email also highlights the benefits of agreeing to the offer, such as being able to participate in exclusive boot camp classes. Lastly, Youfit's direct marketing strengths my relationship with the company because of their genuine attentiveness towards their customers.
