He had the opportunity to free the slaves, he had the opportunity to change the U.S. for the better. He took the popular opinion and he listened to the people and kept slavery. He only thought about the white men he didn’t think about the children and the families of the African Americans. Another thing that made me not think that he was a hero was that he and all the other presidents had the opportunity to let Women have rights.
