The older daughter is highly favored by the mother. With that being said, the older gets new clothes and gets to travel while the younger daughter stays behind to do housework. One day, the old man brings home two fish, one for each daughter. The younger daughter puts the fish in a well and the fish grants her wishes of being able to go to church dressed nice like the older sister. Eventually, the townspeople recognizes the younger sister’s beauty. The younger sister accidentally leaves a glass slipper at church and the prince goes around the town to find who it is so he could marry her.
