"Teaching is more than helping a child master a subject; each classroom is a composite of the anguish and the joy of all its students. You can feel the pain of the child in the fourth seat who is too shy to speak or the student who struggles to focus on any one task or project. You can be the one who makes a difference in their lives:"

Teachers desire more autonomy and control over their careers and, like all of us, want to be treated with more respect."

Intriguing research suggests that learning styles may be as unique as handwriting. Some students do their best work late at night, but others set an early alarm because they are most alert in the morning. Many students seek a quiet place in the library to prepare for finals; others learn best in a noisy environment or with a crowd of people; still others study most effectively in a state of perpetual motion, constantly walking in circles to help their concentration."

we wonder why half of the population in jails are African American. They weren't given a fair trail in school which makes life harder. instead of helping we are neglecting people who don't look like us or stereotyping them to the rest. we are leading a way for students to fall victims to the system. There are more room in jail then there is in classrooms. As being a young African American I feel like we have to work twice harder then the others students do because there is no hope for us. What do we consider a bad teacher ? Some teachers may be consider bad because they don't know there students and hold each student to the same level or they focus more on students they can relate or look like them and the other diverse students fall behind. The money we spend on jails that could be going towards sending people to college or better education.
