   •   The problem with this is that the government is still profiting off these people's charges, of which many are not able to pay bail.
   •   This still promotes mass incarceration, and it directly violates the right to being seen as innocent until proven guilty.

  • Trying to reduce the amount of people who are given bail and in doing so it limits discrimination and reduces mass incarceration. 
  • This bill is attempting to nip the issue in the bud instead of waiting for the aftermath.
