Czechia is bordered by mostly low lying mountains such as the ore mountains, the Sudetic mountains, and the Carpathian Mountains. And the countries that surround Czechia include Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Austria, and Hungary. The Czech Republic also consists of two main regions, Bohemia in the west and Moravia in the east. Bohemia consists of rolling plains and plateaus, and Moravia is very hilly. The capital city of The Czech Republic is Prague which has a population of 1,165,581 people. The individuals are Otto Wichterle and Drahoslav Lim and they invented the soft contact lenses. These people were not the ones that first created the contact lense, that was someone that came years before them, but they made it so it did not hurt to wear contact lenses. They invented this in 1959, but did not have the money to continue their work and eventually their product was sold to an American company and they were not given credit. But today we now know them as the creators of the soft contact lense.
