         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Pilgrims who fled their home of England left in the hopes of escaping religious prosecution. When they arrived at Cape Cod, they were met with harsh conditions that were likely to kill them all. The pilgrims faced the threat of Indians accompanied by freezing winters and food shortages that killed off quite a few of them. Luckily, A particularly helpful native was introduced to them by the name of Squanto. He journeyed with them interpreting their wishes of peace for the other natives and teaching the pilgrims how to properly farm and fish</div>]]></description>

The Values these villagers held shaped the Dream they held as a community because of the autocratic system they had established. The ideal life for them and anyone under their system was one consisting of chores and worship, each to it's own extent. Although some villagers were then beginning to question the old-fashioned nature of the village, many conformed to the lifestyles of the Puritans until the Salem Witch Trials stunned the nation</div>]]></description>

This realization paved the way for Americans to start demanding rights from the government that they felt they deserved. These demands took shape in the form of a Bill of rights. The Bill cemented the change in the American dream from being a devoted worshipper and laborer, to being the master of their destinies in the country that they called their home.</div>]]></description>
