Why Pick This?

We have picked this ad because we feel with cologne ads they always go a bit over the line when it comes to how men look in it. Cologne has always had ads that sells sex to all men. Young men old men. This one looks like it could even sell to men who have some kinks. Cologne has always been the "sexy" thing for men to wear. In the other two point we have created we go into more detail on why it is gender bending and if we think it works well on men.

Does it work well?

The ad itself we think it could work on men. Some men really don't like how they look, so an ad like this would make them want the product just because the men in this ad looks nice, the seriousness in his face and the whip make him look dominate. This is what well some men want to be. Even in the commercials the men will spray an cologne and the woman notice them well. This ad can do the exact same thing.

Why Is It Gender Bending

it is gender bending because cologne is the one type of ad that will always show men as dominate. When it comes to cologne the advertisement sells it as this, if you wear this cologne woman will become submissive to you. Thats why they have made the male model hold a whip, it just adds onto the whole thing of being dominate. The suit is a sign of confidence to us. Men in a suit will always look better and make a male feel as if they have a better look. So they sell it as a whole picture of you will feel good and woman will like you better. The ad itself I think could work on men. Some men really don't like how they look, so an ad like this would make them want the product just because the men in this ad looks nice, the seriousness in his face and the whip make him look dominate. This is what well some men want to be. With that it is gender bending.
