Haiku's are traditional Japanese poems consisting of 3 lines: the first line has 5 syllables, the second line has 7 syllables, and the third line has 5 syllables. Creation of Haiku's will challenge students to make ever phoneme count!

The dream world captured in Sector 7 takes the interpreter on a journey into their own imagination. 5th grade learners will benefit from this abstract piece of art in their class library.

In this story, the lead character learns the value of honesty and hard work.

This book RULES! Consent (For Kids!) is a real treat to read. Funny and to-the-point, this book is a must have for middle grade readers as it empowers the reader with the use of boundaries. How can this type of information be fun???? Rachel Brian succeeded. This writing and illustrations are so fun that I was actually laughing out loud as I read to myself in room 333.

Then, every definition or relation they make to the starting word is put somewhere on the web. By the end of the activity, the web will look completely different, full of different meanings for the one word in the middle.
