It was challenging going through each step of the process. Wondering about the rubric and how it is aligned. How does the rubric score partially accurate responses. Curious about data sets and making them more complex. Curious about how the data tables were set up. Important to provide experience to students with different ways data is displayed. Potential stumbling blocks - students who are hearing impaired might have delays in reading comprehension and writing, so supports are required. They tend to get reduction in scores because they are second language learners and have barriers. The PTs require strong reading and writing skills. It is important to provide experiences in other content areas to support students with tasks like these. Real-world application would help students make the connections to science & math.
