As a teacher I would also like to keep these expectations. I want to be able to stay engaged with my students, and collaborate with peers, colleagues, and fellow teachers. One thing that is important to me as a teacher is to be inclusive. Students are more receptive to understanding teachers who go out of their way to be inclusive, despite differences the student may have with their peers. Last semester I managed to stay on top of due dates and I hope to continue that this semester as well. I have been more organized as a student and I think that will help me become a better teacher. I want to model for my students being proactive, reaching out for help if needed, and staying organized. If so, what are they? However, when two of my nephews were identified as qualifying under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, my perception quickly changed. Both of my nephews have ADHD and are now on medication for it. One of my nephews also has Dyslexia in addition to his ADHD. I am working full time and attending full time classes online, so good time management is necessary. I think this class will help me develop time management skills by submitting assignments on time and keeping track of due dates.
