1. Other then sight, what could be heard was lofi music coming from he computer speakers

2. There were various objects displayed on top of different shelves to give a homely vibe to the installations. Paper and pen for people to physical leave their 'own works' (be part of the instalation). A computer that users could also use along with speakers that played lofi (calming) music.

3. The concept is how one can share their kindness whether through digital media or in real life. Be kind to not just self but to others as well.

4. This instalation stood out to me as it makes one reflect and also consider what words would make the next stranger happy, leaving happiness in ones footstep - trough writing a nite and hanging. Alternatively, some can even try to answer other peoples situation by using the computer (to type) based on their own knowledge.
Overall very interactive work!!

5. The biggest thing that needs to be improve is having another computer for users as seen in the photo, there is only one and perhaps they can put another on the other side.

1. Other than sight, it is sense of hearing due to the machine and the eventual bursting of the balloon.

2. There are pumps to inflate and deflate the balloon, and I heard from one of the guides that it has been programmed. We do not know when it will pop.

3. The concept is about pressure. We will all get pressures, which will increase and decrease throughout our lives. It can sometimes get too much and inevitably burst.

4. This piece stood out to me because it is so big that it is hard not to pay attention to it. Also the fact that we don’t know when it will burst, it will inflate until it pushes against the pink cage. It evokes anxiety since we’re scared for it to pop, and we are also kind of looking forward to see it burst.

5. What I would do to improve this would definitely be to allow the audience to interact with it more rather than just stare at it. Perhaps a button for people to control the balloon? Or some music to add on to the thrill and anxiety.

1. Two, Visual and touch.

2. The EEG headset you put on detects and records your thoughts. Whenever you’re ready, you press a button for the machine to 3D print your thought at that moment.

3. It puts our thoughts into visual/physical forms that others can comprehend. It also opens up new possibilities of leveraging technology to better understand people’s thoughts.

4. With mental health being quite a taboo topic, I feel that this interactive piece is an effective alternative for people to express what’s on their mind, be it for them or for others to understand.

5. Instead of an abstract 3D print out, it could depict actual images of the thought (e.g. you think of sky, it shows the sky).

1. How many senses have you been engaged with?

Just one, the sense of sight.

2. What are the technologies used to interact with the user?

The mirror perceives the user's emotional state, and presents them with a machine-generated poem. The text is displayed for as long as the user gazes into their reflection.

3. What is the concept/rationale?

Inspired by the theory of constructed emotion, Mirror Ritual explores emotion as we construct them within a given context (gazing into the mirror), resulting in human-machine co-construction of emotion.

The mirror then uses poetry to frame our emotional state, creating a relationship with AI, where it does not provide instant gratification, but a meaning unique to us.

The artist is said to be exploring machine understandings of human emotion. For Mirror Ritual to work, it requires us to look our mirror image, the personification of the mirror analysing us, in the eyes.

4. Why do you think that interactive piece has spoken to you?

I didn't know what to expect, wasn't sure if the poem was truly unique to each person, but I went in full of curiosity, and I was pleasantly surprised with the result.

It was quite accurate, all things considered, and I was surprised an AI could glean off that much from my neutral face.

What really spoke to me though, was how much the poem meant to me. It was accurate, I liked the advice given, it made me realise that I'm not all bad and still have room for better change. I think if users could decipher what the AI analysed, they'll find themselves happy with the result.

5. How would you improve it?

If the AI could come up with a machine-generated poem, it could come up with pictures. I believe it'll make for a more interesting experience.

Of course, given artists' movement against AI-generated art, the AI should be programmed without taking from these artists' art, or at least artists' whose copyright over their works has expired.

1. sense of sight and touch

2. these are crocheted by people, hence there is no technology, just hardwork

3. it is to show a different perspective on medication for mental health issues, since the artist has struggled with depression and had to take several kinds of medication. the psychiatrist also told her that the medication was a way for her to "cushion" her emotions, while she works things out. hence the inspiration behind the cushions.

4. I like that it was simple and bright, placed together with the seats it felt very at place. Less is more, I think that this was a simple piece that drew people's attention with how cute the cushions were and helped people to understand the artist rationale.

5. I would add blankets to make it look more cosy, and let people rest. Since there were multiple exhibits with beanbags and blankets, I think the scale for this could be amplified a bit more.

1. My sense of sight and hearing.

2. Lights and shadows were used to create psychedelic vibe around the exhibit

3. The exhibit puts us in the perspective of the artist, who has a neurological syndrome known as Visual Snow, which causes her to see additional visual effects of swirling dots, glowing lines, lights burst, and halos. It brings forth the question of how much we can trust our senses and understanding of the environment.

4. I think it spoke to me as in that environment, i could really put myself in the artist's shoes with all the effects and shadows used.

5. I would improve it by using more sound effects to better create an immersive experience.

1. Hearing and touch

2. The user is prompted to pick up the phone, and when the phone is brought to the ear, a voice would playback and interact with the user by asking some questions.

3. The hello machine tells us about the importance of interaction between humans. The fast paced, everchanging telecommunications technologies that we have around us will also change the way we use the technologies. However, what doesnt change is the need for interaction and communication.

4. It stood out to me as an interactive piece as at first glance, it was just a random telephone in the middle of the area, but it had much more meaning behind it than I thought.

5. I would improve it by adding more reponses to the system within the phone as people would end up finding out quickly that the voice responding to them was automated.
