I was really poor, i needed money to buy clothes, food and water for my family. I needed a job so I worked for a job making quilts and clothes. They promised me that he wound give me 20 cents each month. They gave me a loom but no place to sit and i had to stand very long. i was thinking it would be a good idea but it would be better at home with my family rather then working in this place. the feeling was so sad no one talked to each other and no one ever smiled. everyone just looked down. But the worst and saddest part was that they kicked me out and gave me nothing.

i want to be a famous writer in california. I have friend who is rich in california. I have no money so i reached out to him if he would help me. He said i will pay for your expenses to come here and you can live with me. But under one condition, I had to work in his factory, for two years. I didn't mind because its only 2 years then i will be the writer like I always wanted to be. Once i got there i got a mattress and a thin blanket. The next day i got to work, he showed me around. in my mind i was thinking it looks very dangerous. i'm working here for 5 years now, the friend i was telling you about, is actually a very mean man and buts us in very bad work conditions. I worked all day in a factory sewing it was so hard and i got depressed i wished to go home but how could i ? Even if i had no luck and trapped in this thread of  work i need money for my daughter it was hard, i could not do anything i just worked on a loom all day wondering what my daughter is doing..

It was hard i prayed and begged them for me to leave! it was christmas i needed money for my daughter for food she haven't eaten in two days!! I begged and begged and begged then i saw a small little girl a long  yellow gown smooth curly hair I soon found out that my daughter came here!  She gave them a good lesson the worker got depressed and fired from there job, soon all the women were so happy they went back home the Manager  gave them money expect for me and my 
 daughter  we went back but then suddenly we saw Bags of gold hanging up in our chimney looks like there is also good luck in front  of us!
we celebrated christmas builded a stronger house bought food and water and clothes! It was the best day ever !
