Simone biles had many challenges that she overcame to get her to where she is today. One of her biggest challenges was mental health. While she was in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics she experienced “twisties”, a mental roadblock which causes gymnasts to lose their sense of space and dimension mid air. This came to the point where she dropped out of the Olympics to recover (NBC). She also suffers from adhd and anxiety which also becomes very hard for her in some situations. Without all of the challenges Simone Biles had to overcome, she would not be the great gymnast she is today.

She is also the first female gymnast in the u.s to win 4 gold medals at a single games. She also has won 11 Olympic medals, including seven golds, and 30 world titles. She has also won three consecutive world all-around gymnastics titles (USA gymnastics). Another accomplishment is that Simone is the first African-American to win the world all-around title (Britannica).

As she became older she had struggles with her mental health yet, she persisted and achieved her dreams. she has many others incouraging her including her friends Suni Lee and Jordan Chiles to help and support her. She is also a positive role model to many young gymnasts.
