I picked these colors to represent the LGBT community, as very few outside this community seem to protect it. Society, especially in countries outside of America lacking freedom of speech and religion, have found themselves in a divide over same sex love. It seems that there are no straight iconic leaders or figures that show protection or support of the LGBT cause. I believe that even if someone does not identify as gay, they should still express their support for the LGBT community that has received mass criticism since the beginning of mankind. I used the color pink, which expresses independence, a statement if you will. The blue and yellow represent the pride in one's independence, and they interlock along the backside of the vase to show the unity in one's pride and happiness. Pride and happiness go hand in hand, and almost don't work unless one holds both of these traits.
