Owners choose the level of permissions/restrictions so the user knows exactly what they can and cannot do with an image.<br><br>The search provided on the Creative Commons website allows you to search content from other organisations that they have made available for use under certain conditions.<br><br></div>]]></description>

So you know "up-front" what you have permission to do with an image.<br><br></div><div><a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/britishlibrary/">The British Library </a>and other organisations also have collections on Flickr which have no known copyright restrictions.<br><br></div>]]></description>
