Friends- what exactly defines a friend? A person who helps you when in need? A person who teaches you things you never knew? Is it a person who is the only one with whom you share your deepest thoughts and secrets? Aforementioned are what defines a friend. Overall, a person with whom we share a mutual bond and hold a closest spot in our heart is indeed a friend. However do friends who just play with you, stay with you? This essay will explain that it is true that friends who play together, stay together.

As stated before, friends always stand by your side and help you in tough situations. Friends help you get through depression by saying soothing words that will reduce your depression. Friends are the pillars and you are the house that they are holding up. For example, J.K Rowling's new book, "Harry Potter and the cursed child", two boys named Albus and Scorpius are thick friends. When Scorpius's mother passed away in an untimely death, Albus is the who cheers him up and helps him get back in shape. That is true friendship. Hence, friends help you to get out of depressing moments.

Secondly, friends play a major part in helping you get through your examinations and help you to learn new things. Obviously, hard work is a key part in examinations but, given the circumstance that you are not hardworking and your friends is, makes you stay motivated due to your friend's support to make you study. Friends also teach us key lessons in education by teaching us what we ate unsure of. For example, if you are unsure of a maths problem, who do you go to? That is right, the person who teaches you everything, it's none other than your friend. Hence, friends help you through you schooling life.

Thirdly, we all do not share our secrets with everyone. We only share them with our closest friends. Friends hold a special 'throne' in our hearts and they hold it tightly. Thinking about the 'throne' in our hearts, we 'spill' our secrets to them since the trust we have in each other is strong and tight. We also share our opinions about daily life to them. To others, we may not think that it is necessary for us to say it, but to our friends, it seems natural. For example, things we say to our friends stay with our friends and no one else. Hence, friends are the only people we reveal our secrets to.

Some people might argue that as long as friends are connected through social media, means that they are 'together'. They are saying that friends do not need to play together in order for them to stay together. However , face-to-face is essential and only when friends meet, a strong bond forms. Only when friends who hang out and play together, a much stronger bond forms between them. Friends who are connected together only though social media are not true friends and are considered fake friends. Only when true friends meet and talk with each other, they will know things about each other, which plays a key part in developing their true friendship. For example, in social media, people often post the best of themselves and hide their less glorious side of themselves. Moreover, only through friendship offline, you can get to know the other side of your friends. Hence friends who are connected through social media would not be true friends and strong bonds do not form between them.

In conclusion, friends are everything to us after our family. They know what we want and they know us really well. Friendships are the most important relationships that we can ask for . Friends have to be a necessary addition to our lives as they make us laugh and help us almost everyday. Therefore, I agree that friends who play together ,stay together

Jonas: Should animal experiments be allowed?

Animal expermentation is the form of experimentation that has been around for along time, and a long time from this present time and age. Experimentation has aided scientists in the area of biological science in many ways, be it the discovery of new medicine or testing the effectiveness of medicine on animals. I will now explain why I think animal experimentation should be allowed.
Animal experimentation was involved in the breakthrough of modern science and medicine. For example, the use of Penicillin. Penicillin was first tested on four mice. These mice were injected with a deadly dose of bacteria. After Penicillin was tested on them, they survived. This shows how helpful animal experimentation is.
Besides being a big help to the science industry, animal experimentation is also a more humane way of practical testing of drugs as there is a large number of unendangered animals on the planet.
Another example of the significance of animal experiments is the animal studies in the 1950s whjch showed that hormone changes can induce breast tumors in rats. This led to the development of Tamoxifen which blocks the growth of hormone dependent breast cancers. Further research with mice showed its possible preventive role. The initial use of animals here has now meant an alternative to animals for breast cancer research. Tamoxifen work showed that lab grown cultures of human tumor cells will respond to drugs that are effective in patients. Without animal work it may not have been possible to show that the cell culture results were relevant and reliable. Animal studies, mainly rats and mice, have also been crucial in the development of monoclonal antibody treatments such as Herceptin.
Animal rights organizations may argue that animals are living beings and thus have the same rights, as humans, to live.
However, animals, if not experimented on, would die of natural causes, get mauled in the animal kingdom by their plethora of deadly predators, or get eaten by us. Thus we should harvest them in a useful way rather than letting them waste away.
In a nutshell, animal experimentation can be very effective, useful and a humane method of testing and should be allowed.

Syed:Money is the root of all evil. Do you agree?

More than half of the things in this world are achievable with money. Without money, everything in this world would be valueless and everyone can get anything they want without putting in much or any effort. Well, money can be seen as a blessing. However, money is the root of all evil as it can result in bribery, discrimination and greed.

With money, people can bribe other people to do illegal or unwanted things. For example, a criminal could just pay the policemen to let him go and be free of criminal charges. This will result the policemen to not carry out their responsibilities and the criminal can escape from his punishment and continue committing more crimes. This would also threaten the civilians' safety and cause them to lose trust in the police force. Another example would be that a person may bribe another person who is working under the government to give crucial information which the person who offered the bribe can use to expose them online or even use it to endanger the civilians in the country. So with money, bribery can happen, which can cause those who accept bribes to do the wrong things and may endanger others.

Money can also cause discrimination against the lower class. The higher class tends to treat the lower class unfairly and make them feel like they are worthless and useless to the society. Sometimeso the higher class hires people from the lower class to work as their maids or even slaves. Even though they are given an opportunity to work, they may not be taken care of properly. They may get physically abused, receive little food and loads of work with little salaries. The lower class is made up of humans, just like the higher class, so they should all be treated fairly and not be mistreated and discriminated against just because of their social status.

When a person has or starts to get a lot of money, he or she may start to become greedy. Anything that is related to money or has value, the person wants it all for themselves and the person will do whatever it takes to get all the money. There are cases where parents have passed away and the siblings quarrel and sue each in court just to get their parents' property. The siblings are willing to argue with each other and ruin their relationship just for money. These people should realise that family is more important than money and they should all share the property instead of arguing which one should keep all of it. So, people should be more aware that money is not everything and they should not be greedy about it.

Some people say that money can buy happiness. However, money cannot buy true happiness. Money cannot buy you friends, family and the little things we appreciate in life. If money does buy you friends and family, then they are only in your life for your money and not because they love and care about you.

In conclusion, Money is overwhelmingly corrupting in nature which can change the best of people into something unpleasant which they will regret later on in their life. They would not be able to enjoy life truly and fully.

In this century, most people are developing to become more materialistic as money can buy us a lot if things. With money, we are able to satisfy our hunger, our needs, and even more than what we need, such as enjoying a luxurious life. Most people have the mentality that we cannot survive without money. However, as people gets greedier, they might harm others just for the material benefits. Therefore, I strongly believe that money is the root of all evil.
Many times, money can lure people into commiting heinous crimes. There are cases where thieves go into jewellery shops with a gun and start shooting at innocent people at the scene, then proceed to shop-lift and escape. While the thieves are escaping, the victims of their crime are still struggling to stay alive. This shows that even though the thieves satisfied their greed, they left the victims' lives in risk, explaining how money can relste to people commiting crimes.
Our greed can also get many people involved in money laundering when working for a company or the government to quench their thirst for wealth. If politicians that are working for the government gets involved in money laundering, citizens who paid for taxes and services will not be beneficial as well as the citizens' hard earned money will be wasted. This can explain how money being the root of all evil can lead to the citizens' suffering.
Money can also be used to bribe security guards so that they would allow illegal items to go by the customs. If the securities checking the bags and cars at the customs accepted bribary, they will place the whole nation in danger

Shufang : Parents should impose rules on how much time their children may spend on the Internet. Do you agree?

Internet has been very advanced nowadays. Indeed, young children , teenagers and even adults have been using Internet for project and for work. It has been very convenient for everyone and we rely on the Internet most of our time. Can you imagine a day without the Internet? What will happen to everyone? For children, parents should impose rules on how much time they may spend on the Internet as it might affect their eyesight, studies and well-being.

The Internet tends to cause children to worsen their good eyesight as they may spend long hours using it. Internet allows children to visit various websites such as Youtube to watch their favourite dramas. When the children are focusing on watching their favourite dramas, they will forget the number of hours they have spent on the Internet. After finishing one episode, they will be curious about what will be happening in the next episode. To satisfy their curiosity , they will continue to watch until they are satisfied. The LED lights emit harmful rays that will affect their eyesight. Therefore, they will have defective vision and have to wear spectacles to enable them to see clearly. Parents have to step in and set rules to the amount of time their children may spend on the Internet to prevent the rapid deterioration of their eyesight.

Besides affecting their eyesight, children who do not have the willpower may also forgo their studies due to excessive hours spent on the Internet. When the children are dismissed from school, they may probably go onto the Internet and start surfing once they reach home. They will surf the Internet until they have forgotten to do their homework. Homework is given for the children to practise the questions at home. As the saying goes, ' Practice makes perfect '. If they practise more, they will score better for their tests and exams. If they do not practise, they will then find that the questions are getting harder and harder for them to even understand and do. When tests and examinations are around the corner, they will be rushing to revise their work to make up for the time they spent surfing the Internet. But time will not turn back. On the day of the exam, they will be struggling to do the questions and may even fail their exams. Thus they will have unexpected results and be crying over them. Parents have to enforce rules to the amount of time their children may spend surfing the Internet to prevent them from getting undesirable results.

Furthermore, long hours of surfing the Internet may result in the decrease of health of the children who lack the skills needed to manage their time well. When the children spend several hours surfing the Internet, their eyes will be focused on the screen of the middle devices for prolonged periods of time. For example, when they sit down and are facing the screen for too long, they will get rather tired and sleepy as their eyes need to rest. When they stand up suddenly, they will feel dizzy and feel like the whole world is turning. They have been looking at the screen for long hours and did not have a look at the greenery surrounding, causing them to feel dizzy. Slowly, their health may start to deteriorate and experience headaches frequently. Hence, they will regret spending their time surfing the Internet. Parents need to introduce rules to the amount of time their children may spend surfing the Internet to ensure the well-being of their children.

Some may argue that the production of the Internet is merely a way for children to relieve their academic stress and have some free time to do what they want, taking some time away from studies. Assume that all the children can only spend their free time on the Internet. The children may result in getting addicted to the Internet and cannot control themselves. The profit of the Internet may also increase as there more children surfing the Internet. In order to secure their profit, it is natural for them to argue. Moreover, there are other means of relieving stress that are available that can replace surfing the Internet. Simple and convenient activities such as listening to music, reading a book and even doing handicrafts are more effective for their eyes and more beneficial to their health.

In conclusion, the Internet is able to lure children to spend excessive time on it and simultaneously, depriving children their precious time for academic work and even damaging their well-being and eyesight. It is therefore encouraged that parents should impose rules on how much time their children may spend on the Internet so that they can be free from unnecessary interruptions and concentrate on fulfilling their dreams of going to higher institutes of learning.

Before jumping the gun that money is the root of all evil, you should ask yourself " How has money changed our society?" , How has money helped us?" and '' Why money existed in the first place?" In this essay' I shall argue why money is not the root of all evil.

In the modern world, money has become a common medium of exchange .It has become an indispensable part of our everyday lives. Money is a system in which the human societies created to replace barter trading. During the period where barter trading was prevalent and common, people had to carry their items to be traded with the items that they want. Now, money made trading seem so easy and simple. People brought money effortlessly to trade for the items that they wanted. Now even more so, with the advances of technology. Money can be now stored in banks and will be subsequently stored in the computer as data. The sum of money that you put in banks will be credited to your credit card and you could pay for items using it. Thus, the invention and use of money is a solution to the slow trading and inefficient barter trading.

Money is like water, it is precious. It can be equivalent to anything in this world. As such, people would be thirsty for it as it would give them the opportunity to gain more assets. People would be eager to work hard to eke out a living so that they can live a life of satisfactions. In order to attain this, they would work audaciously to the best of their ability to earn more money. This would then boost their country's economy and may even skyrocketed it. This shows that money can be use as a goal in which people would strive for to achieve greater mobility.

Not only can money gives us the motivation to harder and made trading easier, it also gives us better chances to give back to the society. There are millions and millions of people across the globe who are needy and unfortunate. One of the basic things that you can do for this people is donating some of what you have to them. You could donate a portion of your money to a trustable and non-profitable charity organisations. This money would go to financially supporting those who are unfortunate and would surely alleviate their life. All the better, if you had an abundance of wealth, you could try building schools near slums and give education to those who cannot afford it. They children would acquire more knowledge and they would get better jobs in the future. By giving them privileges to learn, the would be ingrained with the value of compassion in their lives. After getting a decent job, some of them would definitely feel grateful to society. They would then try their best to help those in need by paying it forward. Hopefully later in the future, everyone would have a house and an opportunity to learn. As the adage goes " one act of kindness can change the world."

Some of you might have said that money causes people to commit crimes such as robbery and theft. However, if we ponder about it, greed that lies within our inner selves is what causes us to commit such crimes. As mentioned before, money is a replacement to the old and ineffective barter trading. It is a tool in which we create to help us. Therefore, blaming our tools for the atrocities that we had done would be an irrational and myopic way of thinking. Take for instance, a boy who had finished consuming his banana and had inadvertently thrown the skin on the floor. Later on, this causes a passer-by to rip and fall flat on the floor. Should the banana or the boy be held responsible for the mishap that had happened? Of course, it would be the boy's fault. Imagine if you were the judge of a hit-and-run case. Would you charge the irresponsible driver or the car. Obviously, without a doubt , you would charge the driver. Hence, logically , if a crime like robbery was committed, you should not put the blame on the money but instead blame the criminal for letting their greed run wild.

All in all, I strongly feel that money is not the root of evil. It is the intent of the user that is evil. So we should not impose the blame of our wrong doings on money.

Apart from bartertrading, using money is also another way to trade items between people, especially in modern times. In other words, money is a currency. In order to get our needs to survive or things we want for luxury, money is crucial. However, despite the fact that you could get things with money, it can be dangerous for people who are rich. If they did not think twice before using their wealth, it will definitely impact their life negatively such as leading them to poor health, wasting valuable resources and being selfish towards others.

Having poor mantal and physical health is likely guarunteed among people who possess power. With the amount of money they possess, they would get transportation instead of walking over short distances leading to a sedentary lifestyle that puts them at risk of developing ill health, and they would also not be working as hard as other people as to them, getting money is the least importance and they could even retire completely from work. For some of us, working can be treated as an exercise for our mental and physical health. This will ensure that our body gets enough exercises to keep ourselves healthy. To those who possess money, retirement is definitely an option as they wont have to worry about lacking money to support the family. Thus, they wont be moving their body or using their mind much which leads to lack of exercise and affect their health as they lack physical activities to keep them fit.

Wasting resources acn also be deemed as "common" among rich people. As they have alot of money compared to other civilians, they would not mind overusing it for their own luxury at home such as water as they wouldnt mind taking such a lonb time in the shower. Thus rich people tend to waste more valuable resources compared to moderate income households. Rich people will also not hesitate to tap into earths limited resources such as petrol to fuel their many cars. This would decrease the amount of limited supply of natural resources significantly.

A change in attitude can also be seen among people who are rich. As money is a crucial currency to trade for our needs and wants, many people understand that rest amount of money a person has equal to high levels of power and high status. With these facts etched in peoples minds, they would probably not bother on civillians whom are unfortunate or below them. Thus, this would lead them to become more selfish , only desiring to interact and befriend people of their social class or status.

Rich people may argue that having lots of money will save your life such as paying abnormally large sums of money for crucial hospital treatments or even benefits other people when doing charity work. Hence, having money could not just be a source of evil. However, most people will take it for granted. People with money will start to care less about themselves and not worry about their own safety as they could afford any medical treatment they require. This will eventually become a habitvand will endanger their lives. What if the habit continues and it comes to a point whereby the condition of the person cannot be cured? Rich people who carry out charity work might not have done it from their hearts. Most of them would probably just do it to gain popularity for the sake of fame. Thus, having lots of money will lead them to do evil if they are not careful with spending it.

In conclusion money can be evil as it is widely used by many people all around the world. Without the correct mindset, it can easily change the way people think and act and even their character. Thus, before spending money on anything, it is best to think of the consequences before regretting them later on.

Should parents impose rules on how much time their children can use the internet?

Imagine a world without the internet, people would not be able to search on what they want to find out.People would not be able to make friends easily through social media and they would need to step out of their comfort zone to search for their answers.Personally,I think that imposing rules on how much time to spend on the internet is a bad decision.

Parents who impose rules on how how much time their children should be spending on the internet has a lot of disavantages. An example of the disadvantage is when parents may be too nestoictive and impose just one hour each day of surfing the internet.Imposing rules on the time their children can spend on the internet can be a mistake as their children may have a lot of online homework tobe completed. If their parents just stop him or her from surfing the internet at a particular time, their children may not be able to finish their assignmets and he or she can get scolded or punished by their teachers.

Imposing rules on how much time childrencan spend on the internet may prevent them from knowing the news and what happen around the world because they cannot just spend time to read the news as they are students, they will have assignmets that need to be done as of what i mentioned earlier in this essay. When students do not know what is happening around the world, they may not have knowledge of the current affairs. This may be a disadvantage for them when he or she is writing a composition that may need some ideas and knowledge on social affairs and economic affairs.

When parents impose rules on the time their children can use the internet, that means that they will have less time to use the internet.Children are then unable to spend their free time on online games or social media,as these can help children and students to relieve stress from their homework and examination stress. The increasing rate of teenage suicide is a worrying sign about how these youths are coping with the daily stresses of schooling life

However, not all people think that imposing rules on how much time children can use the internet is a bad idea because imposing rules on the time their children are able to use the internet can prevent their children from getting addicted to the internet.Nowadays, children and students are getting stressed out because of schooling. Internet can be addictive because of the sense of satisfaction and achievement.

However, without the freedom to use the internet, students and children may be pressured on the specific time they must finish their online homework before their parents are going to stop them, so they may just rush through their homework without proper handwriting and thoughts. This may cause them to redo their work as their teachers may not accept it.

In conclusion, parents imposing rules on how much time their children can stop them from getting exposed to the current affairs and may pressurize them from using the internet as internet is a common platform for research and assignment in our current era.

Nowadays, there are many teenagers who spend most of time on the Internet. The Internet is a network where one can share and play with all around the world. Recently, there was this 'PPAP' song that went viral in just a few days and many people started to sing it wherever they were. The use of the Internet affects one's bonding time with family, studies and it is also bad for the eyes.

Parents should take an action to limit the amount of time their children spend on the Internet. The Internet stops one from being able to bond with their family members. For example, when children use the Internet, they rarely talk to their family as they are too focused on their game or something. When one gets too focused on something, they tend to forget that there are people around them. Therefore, people who use the Internet do not talk much and their relationship with others are weakened.

Children who use the Internet not only neglect their family but also their studies. Whem children use the Internet right after they return from school, they might forget to do their homework after being hooked onto the game. If the homework accumulates, it becomes increasingly difficult to catch up with points they missed as a result of inconsistencies in homework completion. By the end of the week, there will be loads of homework for them to complete. This clearly shows that their grades will be affected adversely as they do not know what the teachers have taught.

The children's eyes are also affected when they use the Internet as many of them do not take a rest after looking at the screen for a long time. Almost more than half of the students in every class wear a pair of spectacles and many children now, are starting to wear spectacles from a very young age. The eye is an important part of our body, allowing us to be able to see the things around us. Therefore, the excessive use of the Internet affects our eyes so parents should control how much time their children should spend on the Internet.

Many parents say that when their childrenvuse the Internet to chat with their friends and relieving stress from school work . What these parents may not know is that, their children may be too young to discern right from wrong. They might get bad influence from posts on the Internet. However, most of the time, while children scroll through the posts, they might ignore posts that seems boring to them. Children can stay back in school for a while to play with their friends, or read the newspapers or watch the news on television with their families.

In a nutshell, the Internet tend to have interesting things which attracf people of different ages. That is one of the reasons why people spend so much time on the Internet rather than interacting with others without the use of the Internet. Therefore, it is encouraged that parents impose rules on how much time children spend on the Internet to prevent them from turning into one who spend many hours on the Internet a day in the future

Should animal experiments be allowed?
Using animals in reseach and to test the safety of products has been a topic of heated debate for decades. According to data collected by F. Barbara Orlans for her book, "In the Name of Science: Issues in Responsible Animal Experimentation", sixty percent of all animals used in testing are used in biomedical research and product-safety testing. People have different feelings for animals; many look upon animals as a means for advancing medical techniques or furthering experimental research while others see them as companions and friends that you love and cherish. However, the fact remains that animals are being exploited by research facilities and other companies all around the world. Although humans often benefits. Therefore, animals should not be used in research or to test for the safety of products.
First, animals' rights are violated when they are used in research. Tom Regan, a philosophy professor at North Carolina State University, states:" Animals have a basic moral right to respectful treatment... This inherent value is not respected when animals are reduced to being mere tools in a scientific experiment". Animals and people are alike in many ways, they both feel, think, behave and experience pain. Thus, animals should be treated with the same respect as humans.Yet animals' rights are violated when they are used in research as they are not given a choice. Animals subjected to tests that are often painful or cause permanent damage or death and they are never given the option of not participating in the experiment. Regan further says, for example, that" animal experimentation is morally wrong no matter how much humans may benefit because the animals' basic right has been infringed. Risks are not normally transferable to those who do not choose to take them". Animals do not willingly sacrifice themselves, their decision are made for them. When humans decide the fate of animals in research environments ,the animals'rights are taken away. Therefore, animal experiments should be stopped as it violates the rights of animals.
Next, the pain and suffering that experimental animals are subject to are not worth any possible benefits to humans. The American Veterinary Medical Association defines animal pain as" an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience perceived as arising from a specific region of the body and associated with actual or potential tissue damage". Animals feel pain in many of the same ways that humans do . In fact, their reactions to pain are virtually identical. When animals are used for product toxicity testing or laboratory research, they are subjected to painful and frequently deadly experiments. Two of the most commonly used toxicity tests are the Draize test and the LD50 test, both of which are infamous for the intense pain and suffering they inflect upon animals. The use of the Draize test and the LD50 test has decreased over the past few years but these test have not been eliminated completely. Thus, because animals are subjected to agonizing pain , suffering and death when they are used, animal research must be stopped to prevent more waste of animal life.
Finally, the testing of products on animals is completely unnecessary because viable alternatives are available .In "Against Animal Testing",a pamphlet published by The Body Shop ,the development of products that "use natural ingredients, like bananas and Basil nut oil, as well as others with a long history of safe human usage"is advocated instead of testing on animals .Researchers can test the potential damage that a product can do to the skin by using artificial "skin" instead of animals.Another alternative to this is a product called Eyetex .Computers have also been used to simulate and estimate the potential damage that a product or chemical can cause .In another method, in vitro testing, cellular tests are done inside a test tube. All these tests have been proven to be useful and reliable. Thus, animal experiments are unnecessary.
However, many people believe that animal testing is justified because the animals are sacrificed to make products safer for humans to use. The problem with this reasoning is the assumption that animal testing will always lead to the product being safe for humans to use. It is true that most of the products are safe to use but there are always some products that are still harmful to humans. But thanks to careful inspection, they can prevent it from reaching the masses so they can make the necessary corrections. Also, the animals' safety ,well-being and quality of life is generally not considered. Animals are virtually tortured to death and all of these tests are done in the interest of human welfare, without any thought as to how the animals are treated. Others respond that animals themselves benefit from animal research. Yet in an article entitled" Is Your Experiment Really Necessary?" Sheila Silock, a research consultant for the RSPCA, states:" Animals may themselves be the beneficiaries of animal experiments. But the value we place on the quality of their lives is determined by their perceived value to humans". Making human lives better should not be justification for torturing and exploiting animals. The value that humans place on their own lives should be extended to the lives of animals as well.
In conclusion, animal testing should be eliminated because it violates animal rights. It also causes pain and suffering to the animals and other means of testing products are available. Humans cannot justify making life better for themselves by randomly torturing and executing thousands of animals per year to perform laboratory experiments just for the sake of science or to test products. Animals should be treated with respect and dignity and this right to decent treatment is not upheld when animals are exploited for selfish human gain. After all, humans are animals too.

Xavier: Imagine a world without friends, there will be no one to share your little secrets with, such as secrets about school, embarrassing and funny moments. I agree that friends who play together, stay together. Friends are your pillars of support when your family is not there. Friends support you whenever you need them, lend you a helping hand when you need help and lend you a listening ear when you confide your problems in them. Therefore, friends are very important to us in our lives. Friends who often play with you are usually your best friends. Why?

Friends whom you play with from secondary school will be our best friends forever as you spend your four years interacting with them, talking to them and playing with them. This close bond with continuously improve as time passes and you and your friends will be best friends forever. Our best friends work best with us as we have good chemistry with each other based on the friendship we had nurtured for the past few years. When we invite our friends to put houses, we talk everything under the sun such as each other's family or school problems. This will increase the mutual friendship of trust and support for each other. A philosopher named Aristole once said, " In poverty and other misfortunes of life, true friends are a sure refuge". This means that friends will be there to save you when you are in need. Besides our parents, friends are also what makes as who we are and that they are the ones who will influence you to be good or bad. Therefore, friends are very important and we must treasure our friends that we have made for the past few years.

Friends can teach you vital life skills. There are many perks of friendship such as making you a better person, a happier person, knowing yourself better, becoming inspired to reach your goals and living a longer and healthier life. Your friends can motivate you in unique and different ways and all these ways can lead you to become a better person in life. When you play together such as doing homework together, you are combining the strengths of you and your friends to learn from each other 's mistakes or in things that your friends do better than you. Therefore, friends can help you to become a better and more positive person by encouraging you.

There is a chinese saying, " To enjoy blessings and misfortune together”. True best friends will stay with you in times of happiness and sadness. For example, if your friend gets scolded by the teacher for not doing his homework, your best friend will tell the teacher that you advise your friend to not copy the homework again and ask him or her why he or she did not do the homework and lend him or her a helping hand if he or she needs help. This is what friends are for. When you get a reward from your teacher and that reward can be shared, without hesitation you will with your friend and enjoy the reward together. Friends share their joy with each other and they strengthen their bonds through which selfless sharing.

Some may argue friends who play together do not always stay together as some of your friends may be fake friends. A fake friend is someone who is actually not your Friend. They are people who make friends with you because they want attention, popularity or money. Fake friends do not keep secrets for you even if they promise you that they will not spill anything about your secrets. However that being said, not all your friends are fake friends, some are your true friends. This type of friends can be trusted. A true friend will not tell your secrets to anyone. This bond with your true friend is so strong that you do not abuse each other’s trust. A true friend will always be there for you and help you. They will always show care and concern for you if it means sacrificing their own comfort. Finally, a true friend believes in you. A true friend does not want you to fail, instead they will encourage you to be successful and to be the best in your life. When you are feeling down, they will always lift you up and cheer you up. True friends are the kind of friends that you must treasure the most because it is a gift to you to guide you through difficult times.

In conclusion, friends are a very important part of your life. “Friendship is not about whom you have known the longest… it is about who came, and never leave your side.” This quote was written by Mikaela Tiu. True friends will never leave your side and will give us a sense of happiness. They keep you away from loneliness and accept you for who you are. Friends are essential after your family. They care for you because of the bonding between you and your friends , therefore it is important to stay with your friends forever and through various forms of play, one is being to sustain and strengthen the friendship in the many, many years to come.

Money seems to be the driving force in many people's lives .Many people think that money is the root of all evil.I agree with their opinions.I personally think that money in itself is actually harmless, but it is the love of money that can lead to evil.
First and foremost ,people want money for various reasons such as secruity and statuss. This is also known as being materialistic, which also brings in it's wake tension and unhappiness such as quarelling and fighting over money.People became evil only when they are obsessed with money and always comparing with others everything in terms of money.Although people have the desire to earn money,it is not the root of all evil as they need them to fulfill their needs.Increasing their wants for money may be really crucial because when people crave more of it and are never sastified with what they have, this give birth to greed. Greedy people only care about themselves, whether it is on their needs or wants. They will try hard to get what they want such as money. They often do unlawful crimes to get their money.
Moreover, the desire and love for money make us became selfish and proud. When we have more money than what we need
,we tend to look down on others who have lesser money or been experiencing financial problems.People also try different ways to get more money and even commit crimes.Perhaps, the presence of greed caused by the desire for money changes people from kind to evil, world leaders to mundane people.
However, money only becomes one's master when the person priorities money above everything else .They often think that earning money is the priority in ther lives and they will work for long hours and have almost no time to be spend with their family and friends. This can also cause them to suffer from health problems, maritial problems ,experiencing lonelines s and much more distress .Thus,I agrue that money can easily change a person's lifestyle and attitude.
Some people may argue that not all people use money for their own wants, but also donate the money to charities and for the needy people.Assuming that people are donating money to charities, earning money and giving out some money for kind deeds. Donating money can help the needy people whom have financial problems such as those in need of money for studies, medical fees especially for low-income families.
However, not every rich person donates out of cherrity. Some people donate money for an exchange with fame. For instance, some businessmen donated large sums of money to get attention and credited for their donation. Businessmen may donate mall vouchers to people and people will be attracted to their business and they will even earn more money than usual. Although others may say this is a win-win situation, people can donate money to help the needy people and also earn extra money. This may not be so simple as people are just making use of money to get other things they want, without being truly sincere to have the heart to help needy people.
In conclusion, whether the love of money can lead to evil is a choice. Even if a person has a billion dollar, it is a choice if he wants to use the money for good deeds or to break the law. Even if a person is poor, he does not need to commit crimes for money. Human greed cannot be controlled if a person wants things badly. Therefore I say money is the root of all evil.

Money is a basic need, no matter who are. Whether you are a normal person, an orphan or a president, you will need money. You need money to buy all uour basic needs such as food and electricity. You can also use money to help the needy. Governments will invest millions of dollars into their country to help their country to help their people. Despite this, some people still insist 'Money is the root of all evil'. In this essay, I will show that this is not true.
Money is needed to buy everyone's essentials. People have to buy food in supermarkets and you need to pay bills for water and electricity. Money is need if you want to live properly and withiut problems. If you do not have money, you will be homeless and starving. This shows that you must buy what you need in order to be alive.
You can use money to help those in need. In a story, "The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar", man is given the ability to see through cards and read the opposite side of it. He uses the power to cheat in casinos and uses the money he earns to build orphanages. Fom this we can use money to help the needy and other people by donating to them or by visiting them in orphanages or old folks home, which is the opposite of being evil.
Govrnments can use money to help their nation. Every year, leaders of countries will invest millons of dollars on their country. The money is spent on different things like defense, houses, maintenance of different itmes and others. By doing this, they are ebing good and not evil.
It is true that crimes are caused due to people wanting money. However, this also resulted in the creation of law and order, which stopped most of the crime. After WW1, the mafia took over America and there was a lot of crime. However, after WW2, the government took acton and made stricter laws, which effectively stopped them. Money made crime and evil, which in turn made law and justice. This shows that money is the root of all evil and good

Celine: Should animal experimants be allowed?

Animal experiment should not be allowed. Animal experiment are making use of animals, locking them in cages and conducting inhumanne activities on them for research and studies. These experiments also seek to test out drugs and chemical in animals for development of new medication and the safety of substances. These cruel experiment are torturing innocent animals, risking lives of animals. Animal and humans are not always the same which means such projects could be useless or futile.
Animal experiments should ot be allowed as they are torturing and ill-treating the animals as their well-being are not taken care of properly. Some animals are left in dirty and secluded areas which run experiments that change the mindset and behaviour of sucb animals. One example is the 'Social Experiment' which tests on the thinking and adaptability of monkeys. Five monkey were placed in a cage and has ladder which holds a banana on the top. Whenever one monkey wants to climb the ladder , the other four monkeys were poured with cold water and this cycle continues and subsequently, the scientist would replaced one of themband when the new monkey wants to climb the ladder, the other four would beat the monkey. As this cycle continues, there would eventually be five new monkeys that would beat the new monkey whenever they approach the ladder without knowing the real reason behind it. This shows how the experiments on animal changed the psychology thinking on the monkeys and ruining their life in the long run. The monkey would have an impression that whenever someone were to take a banana they will be beaten up or poured with cold water. Thus, they would avoid banana which is their favourite food.
Other than ill-treating them, animals have also sacrificed their live in experiments. Sometimes, animal experiments require them to open up the body or even starve them to know more of their bodily reactions. Chemical substances are used to see their reaction and some experiments even feed posion or toxic food to them. Animals and humans are all living things and why do we not feel guilty for those poor animals that have their lives scarificed for us humans.
Lastly, not all animals and human bodily finction are the same physically and emotionally. The human body and mind are complicated as compared to animals. If scientists are to say that the purpose of the experiment is to know more about the human body and are using animals as a substitution, what proofs do the scientist have to argue this fact. Animals could also have resistance to certain chemical substances and not humans. Thus this shows that not every living thing is exactly the same and could be substituted.
However, some may argue that some of the animals still have similar trade to humans. For example, mice are used for experiments as they have similar genetic, biological and behaviour characteristics as humans. Scientist also tend to use mice as they could be easily bought and they are easier to control than humans. Not only does mice have similar characteristics to humas they also could be use for social experiments which could be hard to conduct on humans due to the changing factors of humans.
In conclusion, some animal experiments are still extremely cruel and are torturing the innocent animals. Cats have been brainwashed and the labortary animals are also forced to be seperated from their parents from young age and are still suffering even now. Thousands or even millions of animals are kept in small and dirty cages for their entire live and people are still not aware of their sufferring. Thus i still disagree with the use of animals for experiment and we should cherish and protect the animals like how we would to humans.

Should animal experiments be allowed? Well ,let us first understand why are there animal experiments. Normally animal experiments are used to test for medications that have not been tried on humans. When there is a new disease outbreak or other disease, animal experiments are requried to ensure that a cure is developed to cure such illnesses. I do not feel that animal experimants should not be allowed as as animals are captured for research, they face the risk of death and may face mutation.
Firstly, let us take about the risk of death. To test whether a medicine is able to cure a certain disease, the animal first has to be infected with the virus before the medicae can be used. With the virus in the body of the animal, the chances of death have increased. As the medication is given ,the medication might or might not ccure the disease as it is still at the testing stages. Hence, the risk of death is very high.
Secondly, these animals are caputred from their hanitats by humans. As only certain animals are used in experiments, scientist might have to look for such animals at their natural habitats. Such act causes frst in amimals which makes them afriad of staying in their habitat as they do not know will humans intrude thier habitats again just to capture more animals of its species. Hence such acts causes the decrease in chances of finding them in the original habitat.
Thirdly, mutation may be caused. While the medicines are made to cure disease, it is still under the developing stages hence its effect is not fully known yet. Animals that consume them may get side effects from the medicane and may hvh changes to them, like becoming more intelligent, stronger or may suffer from physical changes . Hence , mutation may occur as the chemical given may not be fully understood of its effects.
Scientists may argue that animals experiments are used to know more about the disease. However, since such mediine are used to cure diseases found in humans, learning about the virus and developing a new medication should be on humans. Even when such experiments are conducted on animals with the same DNA to humans, which are white mice, there are still some differences between humans and such animals.
In conclusion, i do not feel that animal experiments should be allowed as thenharm causesnto the animals can be from an individuql to a whole group. Hence, animal experiments should not be allowedndue to all the possible harm and risk in such experiments.

Animal experimentation has been a commonly debated subject for many years. Hence, this leads to the exploration of the question whether is it cruelty or science ? More than 100 millions of animals suffer and die each year from these experiments. That is why i am taking the stand of not allowing these experiments to continue. I feel that animals also have their rights to live freely as their lives are just as important as ours.
From my perspective, i see animal experimentation as a source of cruelty rather than science. Why is that so? One of the many reasons is because they are not treated well by their researches. For example, small animals are often locked in barren cages in laboratories. Imagine you yourself are the one being caged. How would you feel? Do you understand the helplessness they are feeling? They cannot do anything but to wait for the next terrifying and painful procedure of being experimented on. Do scientists even realize that because of the stress the animals are facing, some of them had developed neurotic types of behavior such as incessantly spinning in circles, rocking back and forth, pulling out their own fur, and even biting themselves! They shake and cower in fear whenever someone approaches them, causing their blood pressure to spike dramatically. Eventually, almost all of them are killed due to the pain, loneliness and terror they experienced during these experiments. In other words, all these episodes of suffering and death are caused by harsh treatment.
Beside being badly treated, animals' rights are also violated when they are used in research. Although, they are very similar to us humans, they are not given a freedom of choice. Usually, these animals are subjected to tests that are painful , and this may cause permanent damage or death. Yet, they are not given the option of refusing to participate. Hence, their rights have been violated.
Finally, i feel that animals should not be sacrificed for the sake of human beings. I believe that the testing of products on animals is unnecessary because there are alternatives. For example, the development of a synthetic cellular tissue that closely resembles human skin is an awesome alternative to using animal skin. Researches can test the potential damage that a product can do to the skin by using this artificial "skin" instead of testing it on animals.
However, people may argue that animal experiments are necessary to ensure our safety. The problem with this is that because of this mindset, the animals' well being and safety are not given prioritized consideration. Making human lives better does not mean torturing animals. Moreover, not all animal experimentation for human products are a success. Many of their sacrifices were actually made in vain.
In conclusion, animal testing should be eliminated because it causes pain and suffering to the experimental animals and it violates their rights to live in a safe and healthy environment. Animals should be treated with respect and dignity as they are not born to be exploited for selfish human gain.

Wai Yan
Money is the root of all evil?
Money.Everyone wants it,modern society would crumble without it. Money makes the world spin and can motivate more people than motivational speakers .Many believe money to be the root of all evil due to how money can corrupt people. However, that simply is not true as money should not be held accountable for the actions as it is the people who cause and do evil and not money.I will now present my arguments to show money is not the root of all evil.
Money in fact is one of the greatest assets to the world as without modern day currencies we would still be doing barter trading.Which could lead to greedy people scamming and cheating poor innocent people of their precious valuable. Modern currencies help determine the proper value of things to prevent unfair and unjust trading. This goes to show an advancement money has helped achieve in humanity's progress as a civilization. After all money is simply another tool for humanity' uses. Money has prevented greedy traders from scamming people for self-gain due to it ensuring fair trade.Which goes to show that this is simply their nature.
Money also helps those in need when it is contributed to worthwhile causes such as to shelter the needy and to help people recover from natural disasters as well as to help the less fortunate. Money in this case provides people with an easy way to help people and to actively contribute to charitable organization and these generous donations help to fund research in cures and vaccines for deadly diseases. Money can also be used to improve third world countries that suffer from extreme poverty as donation helps to grant them easy access to food and water. So to say that money is the root of all evil is very biased since this demonstrates the good that money can be used to do.
Money helps to progress humanity as money can motivate people to start their own business in pursuit of riches. The start up of these businesses promotes the creation of jobs which gives a significant boost to the economy. Money also motivates people to do well and achieve success and contribute back to society. Money also helps ensure that people stay employed and provides structure to ensure a functioning society.
However, some may argue money can be a source of evil as due to human greed people may forsake others and cause harm to others to acquire more money and in some cases money changes people by corrupting people from good regular people into narcissistic devils. This transition of character happens in the case of many people on their path to riches with one prime example being Jordan Belfort formerly known as The Wolf of Wall Street. This erosion of good character can lead to many awful things to happen like discrimination against the lower classes or the imposition of hard labor of orphans during the industrial revolution or the way public servants like politicians, lawyers and policemen can become puppets due to a couple of cheques and ultimately end up serving only those who refill their pockets rather than serve everyone including those who don't fill their pockets.Furthermore,a lot of these so called "generous souls" only donate for self-gain such as evading taxes or for the sake of public image. There are other ways to help with the problems in the world rather than simply throwing money at the problem giving no effort into the solution whatsoever. This shows money can bring out the worst in people and these generous actions could simply just be for self-gain.
In conclusion, money is a tool that gives structure, fairness and progress to society and no matter the intention kind actions are still kind actions that achieve good results for the benefits of people. As money is simply a tool and not some corrupting force as ultimately it is up to the person how the money is used be it for the greater good of humanity or for self-gain as whether or not money controls or is controlled is up to us as there are still upstanding public servants who do not let money push them on the wrong path. Ultimately money cannot corrupt people as it only brings out who they really are inside and they should be accountable for their actions be it good or bad

Inesh Should animal experiments be conducted?Using animals in research and to test the safety of products has been a topic of heated debate for decades. 60% of all animals used in testing are used in biomedical research and product safety testing. People have different feelings for animals; many look upon animals as companions while others view animals as a means of advancing medical techniques or furthering experimental research. However individuals perceive animals, the fact remains that animals are being exploited by research facilities and cosmetic companies all around the world.Although humans often benefit from successful animal research, the pain, the suffering, and the desths of animals are not worth the possible human benefits . Therefore animal experiments should not be allowed .

So parents should impose rules on the amount of time their children could spend on the internet.
Firstly, parents should impose rules because children could be spending too much time on the internet if they do not know how to limit their time use of the internet. Some children do not have self-discipline and could not restrain themselves from playing online games. A effective way to stop children from using the internet too often is to set rules and keep reminding them to stop playing online games after two hours. By imposing rules, the children could learn how to manage their time, control themselves and cultivate good habits that will be useful to them when they are growing up. If children become addicts to playing games, they would stay up all day, and might stare at the computer screen for a long period of time. They will start skipping school and lose connection with the real world and it is really an unhealthy habit. If they do not know when to stop using the jnternet, it will not make their parents worry but will also affect their relationship with their family.
Secondly, parents should impose rules as children might spend more time on the internet than with their family. Due to the massive homeworks and amounts of projects, children might spend a lot of time after school-hours doing research on the internet until midnight. They are not able to spend time and bond with their family, after a long period of time, there would be a distance between them. It will lead to more friction and they will quarrel with one another. By imposing rules, the children could spend time with their family and it will help them feel more confident and secure individually when they develop strong bonds with their family.
Thirdly, if students spend most of their time on the internet, it will affect their physical development and health. When students spend a lot of time on the internet and do not exercise regularly, their lifestyle will become unhealthy and they will fall sick easily. It will also cause the children to hurt their eyes and be diagnose with myopia if they keep using the computer. By imposing rules, parents could supervise and take good care of their children at the same time.
Many may argue that spending time on the internet is just a stress reliever for the children and parents should not impose rules to make them feel more stress. However, there are many more ways to relieve stress. The examples are that the children could go for a jog or they could sleep when they are feeling stress and is unable to focus on their studies. Furthermore, the main reason for imposing rules is that parents are worried that their children would go into illegal websites and be negatively influenced. The consequences of being negatively influenced exceeds the benefits that teenagers claim the internet brings.
In conclusion, although the internet is useful, there should be a limitation of time for the children to use the internet as it will affect the development of the children. They should be a well-rounded person who does not only stare at their computers or phone's screen but goes out to participate in interesting and meaningful activities.

Hence, does this mean that parents should impose rules on how much time their child may spend on the internet? Well, the answer is a straight yes. Parents need to regulate the amount of time their child uses on the internet as a long time spend on the internet might worsen one's eyesight, and not only that , the child might get addicted to what they are doing on the internet and neglect their studies. They might also be exposed to dangers such as cyberbullying. Hence, parents should monitor their children by setting rules in order to limit the amount of time they spend online.

Setting rules on how much time children use on the internet limits them from wandering off from what they need to do. In this century, technology is extremely advanced, and with one click , they are able access anything. For instance, YouTube is an entertainment platform which allows children to watch videos. Once they get hooked up with what they are doing, they would not stop. They would hence get distracted from their studies, not being able to complete the tasks that are assigned to them. Their would eventually get affected as lesser time is spent on their studies. This is one of the factors why parents should impose rules on their children.

Besides from getting distracted from what they need to do, their health would also worsen. Much time is spent on the internet and one's eyes would eventually get exhausted. Their eyesight would deteriorate and would lead to one having the need to wear spectacles. These consequences can be prevented if parents can lay out the time in ewhich the children can surf the internet. They would know when to stop as rules have been set for them.

Bryan

Fame, Power and opportunities are things money can buy for us. Personally, I think that money is the root of all evil. It is so to me as people are now catergorised by their financial background. Money can also do some harmful and negative things to homosapiens such as discrimination, bribery and corruption.

Discrimination against poorer people by rich or financially stable people has been happening throughout the century. This causes a social barrier between people as most people judge one another by their first impression. First impressions are made when you usually look at someone's looks and these looks ate usually enhanced through fashion, during few seconds or minutes. Someone who has money usually dress up affluent, these clothings usually cost a bomb. However, there are people who do not dress well, these causes heads to turn and judge at that particular person. They aren't able to dress well as they might not be able to afford for it. However, people who can afford for it, will tend to look at those who can't and develop a judgemental attitude towards them. In a social experiment done on YouTube, a girl was first dressed up as a rich-looking person. People found her approachable by just looking at her looks. Where as, when she was dressed up as a poor-looking person. People avoided her and some backed away. This shows that people generally find people of the same social status easier to approach than someone who looks different. Thus, money causes people to discriminate against one another based on one's looks or more.

Do you think children spend too much time on the Internet? Parents nowadays seem to think so . Parents are always nagging at their children to get off their phones and spend more time interacting with them. In order to stop children from using the Internet too much, some parents may impose rules on how much time their children may spend on the Internet. Parents should dispose rules to ensure that children would not get addicted to playing games on the Internet, and would be disciplined to make time for homework. Children are also too young and may not know when to stop using the Internet and they also may not have the means to develop their social skills by engaging in physical interaction or talk to people around them.
Parents often stop their children from spending too much time on the Internet by limiting the time they can use their phones and computers. This is to make sure that children would not play games too much on the Internet. For example, parents can set a reasonable time limit for their children to use their phones and computers so as to ensure that their children would not be addicted to Internet games. Being addicted to the Internet can affect one's studies, health and well-being. Hence, by imposing rules to limit the use of the Internet, children would not be overly attached to their electronic devices.
Another reason why some parents impose rules to limit the amount of time their child may use on the Internet is that children will have more time to complete their homework or spend time with their family and friends . For example, some parents educate their children to put away their mobile phones or to stay away from their electronic devices to inculcate discipline in the children. Children are also able to bond and interact more with the people around them easily when technology and the Internet do not come in the way. As many young children nowadays are too attached to their electronic devices and tend to be more quiet and antisocial, bonding time between family members is all the more cherished. Therefore, rules should be imposed to instil good values and cultivate good habits in children.
The Internet contains many functions and uses but when misused, cyberbullying and many other situations show how the Internet is much scarier than what it seems to be. Children who have yet to be taught about Internet safety might unknowingly become victims or cause their family to become victims of Internet crime. 35% of eleven to seventeen year olds are reported to have experienced cyber bullying in the year 2014. This shows that many children and young adults went through cyber bullying. Hence, children should be restricted from using their electronic devices for long hours as this means that the children are exposed to the Internet world which can be very dangerous.
However, some parents may feel that they should not restrict their children's time on the Internet because children should have the freedom to do whatever they want to do. Those parents may think that they should give them the right to decide their activities themselves so as to enjoy their childhood. From my personal experience, I have a cousin who was given the freedom of using the Internet at a young age.

Do you think animal cruelty is right? Do you think animals do not feel pain? There are about millions of animals being tested on for drugs and medication and the safety of chemicals. However ,not all have survived ,some animals alos suffered side effects that cause discomfort. Personally ,I feel that this is unfair for the animals. Why do they have to be taken away from the comfort of their homes and experience such ill treatment. In addition ,this is cruelty ,as animals are like humans ,they also feel pain and discomfort. What if the animals feel unpleasant or uncomfortable during the experience but we ignore and just continue torturing them, that is just unfair. Another con about conducting animal experiments is the fact that animals are very different from human beings. Therefore ,tests that are made successful on animals may not be successfyl for human beings.

Many animals are being captured for experiments to find cures for diseases or to test for the safety of chemicals. Animals ,however, have died or suffered side effects after these experiments. Experiments could have gone wrong or failed that caused the animals' lives as they died of improper use of chemicals. Their immune system system may not be as strong which will cause them to suffer side effects from chemicals. This could be caused by miscalculation made by scientists or the misuse of chemicals on living organisms. Hence ,many animals live such a short life due to conduction of experiments which is for the greater future of human beings.

Have you ever thought ,how unfair it is for animals to be treated ihumanely just for us humans , animals are often taken away from their homes ,be it from the jungle ,forests for things like animal experiments. They are being taken away from the comfort and warmth of their homes just so that they could be used to help humans. Animals are injected with chemicals that causes effects that is out of their comfort zones ,they might even feel pain. Therefore ,I findit unfair how animals are ill-treated.

Animals are a lot more different from humans than we think they are. Animals' body type or levels of immunity are different from humans. So whatever animals are experimented on ,they might not have the same effect on humans. If animal experiments are succesful ,the same chemicals used on humans may not be successful and might cause death. Therefore ,animal experiments may not always be helpful to humans.

Some people might say that animals can help improve

Advanced technology nowadays has allowed billions of people in the world to have access to the internet. With just a few taps on our mobile phones,we are able to know what is happening on the other side of the world. In just a few minutes, we are able to clear our doubts online. The internet is a common tool that all ages use today and it has put millions of lives into comfort. Researchers has found that it is common for teenagers nowadays to spend more than five hours on the internet. However, it has been proven that the health of these people have declined significantly. Besides affecting the well-being of a person, surfing internet can also cause the person to be severely addicted and affect the social communication skills of the person. Therefore, parents should impose rules on how much time their children should spend on the internet.

Surfing the internet can adversely affect the well-being of a person as it often requires us to sit in front of the computer. Long hours of sitting can result in us not sitting straight, thus this can cause health problems such as aches in our backs and necks. In addition, long hours of surfing online can also cause our vision to decrease and our bodies would feel very fatigue. Researchers have found that long hours of using hand phones will affect a person mentally and physically. The person would not be able to react as fast as he was as his mind is not agile due to prolongs hours in front of the computer screen. As most children lack of self awareness, they might not realize that they might suffer from these problems as they grow up. Therefore, it is important for parents to impose rules on the amount of time their children should use the internet.

Spending large amount of time on the internet can cause children to be addicted. The internet is a platform whereby people can search for whatever they need. It allows people to play any games, watch videos and made friends through others websites. Hence, people are able to do everything online without asking others. Even though the internet has put us into comfort, it can also cause us to be addicted. According to a news report, a boy was severely addicted to the internet has not spoken more than ten words every day. Researchers have proven that people addicted to surfing online can affect the daily lifestyles, they might refuse to complete their basic daily routines such as eating, bathing and sleeping. As teenagers, as they lack of time management skills. Therefore, it is an essential step for parents to reduce the amount of time their children spend online, especially those who are already addicted.

Prolongs hours of surfing the internet can also cause the social communication skills of a person. Spending more time surfing the internet means that we have lesser time spent on face- to -face communication. In our daily lives, many people are seen attached to their smartphones tweeting or texting everywhere they go. Although the internet s a tool of communication, nowadays and has made our lives easier, it has also decrease the opportunities for people to have face- to - face communication. Researchers have found that children who go out frequently have better socialising skills than those who stay at home surfing the internet. Therefore, at a young age, children should go out to interact with their friends. to build up their communication skills. In other words. parents should make sure that their should spend more time socialising with their friends instead of spending time surfing online.

Some teenagers may argue that longer hours of surfing on the internet can allow them to gain more knowledge instead of making them addicted. It is also a source of relaxation. The internet allows teenagers to know more about society and the world. Teenagers also say that the internet is a source of relaxation whereby they can relieve all the stress they accumulate in their daily lives. However, the consequences on one's health, social communication skills and addiction are way too pricey. As most teenagers are young they might think that surfing the internet for long hours has no serious harm to themselves, hence, it is normal for them to think this way. However, there are many other ways for them to gain knowledge such as reading newspaper and books. Reading is very important especially to the teenagers as they need to build a strong foundation for their language. Furthermore, these ways will not harm them. Relaxation can also be done in many ways such as outdoor activities, listening to music and spending time with family.

In a nutshell, i think that even though the internet has made things more convenient for us, it has also made a certain damage to us such as it affect our health. However, as children are still young parent therefore should impose rules on how much time they should spend on the internet.

Parents are often more concerned aboutnthe content their children consume online. Furthermore, children are put at high risk of cyberbullying on the internet which may affect their mental growth. Therefore , parents should impose rules on how much time their children may spent on the internet so that they will not neglect their studies and social life.

Beside being prone to cyberbullying , children who have lack of self-discipline will also forgo their studies due to excessive onling gaming on the internet . Children may also lose focus in their studies and sacrifice their study time to play onlinr games. Apart from forgoing their sleep in order to satisfy their craving to play their addictive video game on the internet , some children may also choose to skip school and play their games. Such examples had happen so often that many children was often being boardcast about excessive gaming. This will likely cause deprivation of sleep , causing the children to feel listless and sleepy during class. As a result , these children are unable to catch the important points taught in class and this will probably cause them to perform badly in academically. Their bad results will also dissapoint their loved ones. In view of this, it is hences obvious that children are easily distracted and therefore, parents should impose rules on how much time their children may spent on the internet.

Furthermore , time spent often interferes with family time . For example , children will often stay in their room, spend time surfing the internet instead of going out with their family for gatherings. In the long run , children would even grow apart from their psrents due to a lack of closeness and interection with them.

Parents should impose roles on how much time their children may spend on the internet. Do you agree?

We might have heard people being phychologically affected by spending too much time on the internet. As technology is growing at a fast pace, people are using the internet very often. Some applications used in common by the people on the internet are Snapchat, Instagram, WhatsApp, Twitter and Facebook. Children and teenagers especially are more prone to be addicted to the above mentioned applications as well as online games compared to adults. If they do not have any restrictions to how much time they are supposed to spend on the internet, they might get addicted to games which may result in them not being able to focus in their studies and not doing well in their examinations. The internet may also encourage children to go to websites that they are not supposed to see which might make them get addicted to undesirable materials. Thus, parents should impose rules on how much time their children should spend on the internet.

First of all, children face the dangers of addiction. Addiction to online games or social media affects one's well being and his or her behaviour or attitude. The main purpose for all those who play online games is to increase their levels that they are in, fighting with the characters and competing with their friends which makes the players feel excited and strongly motivated to win the game. So, for example, when a child's mother prepares dinner for him, he would be too engrossed in the game and would hold back his hunger resulting in him skipping his meals which affects his nutritional development. He may also forgo his sleep as he is addicted to the game. Thus, this is how obsession with the internet can impact one's well being just because of that game.

Secondly, the internet can cause a student to fail his examinations as well as not becoming successful in any of the tasks given to him. Spending too much time on the internet will result in one not having sufficient time to spend on one's studies. At this stage of the children's life, studies are very important and thus, they should be focused on their studies. Hence, they should learn how to keep track of the time and minimise the time spent on the internet.

Lastly, the internet is the main platform where students can easily access websites that they are not supposed to go into. This usually happens because of the encouragement from their fellow peers. After surfing those kind of websites and knowing more about mature content, they have the curiosity to find out more through unhealthy means and this adversely affects their mental and moral development in a person of sound and descent character. Therefore, the internet is a platform which can lead to many negative consequences on the people who use it excessively.

Some people may say that the internet will not lead to addiction and instill bad values in children but can be useful in other ways such as reading news, playing online games to help to relieve stress as well as finding information for upcoming projects. They say that it can teach children knowledgeable things and that not all children are victims to addiction.

Although the internet brings in several pros, there are also cons that affect the children severely such as the deterioration of eyesight, well-being and time management. Maybe not all children can be addicted to the internet but we have heard of many cases in the news that children die due to spending too much time on the internet. So what about those children? Parents must be the ones who should teach their children on how to use the internet and restrict their time spent on it to avoid those severe consequences.

Money is the root of all evil. Do you agree?

Even though many argue that money is the root of all evil, I disagree. Money in itself is harmless.Because money is a tool which can be used and abused just like any other tool. In reality the actual root of all evil is “Greed” It is the love for money, the excess desire for it that is the root of all evil. Many of us would do anything and everything for someone or something we love and that is when we do wrong and sin. Therefore, the greed for money is the root of all evil.

The greed for money entices people to acquire without thinking much and doing so in immoral and unjust ways. In society today. It is taught that money is status, value, power and for some, it is the ultimate objective in life. Once, greed was useful when it used to be a driving force and we used to work harder to achieve our goals because of it but now it is accompanied by its cousin laziness. Today everyone wants to make it to the top in the fastest way possible and therefore to make a fast buck, corruption exists, black markets exists and the vice industry exists. People only care about personal gain and in everything they do, there is an alternative motive. That motive is greed.Soon the individual is willing to sacrifice their conscience, family and self values.

greed is something that each individual in this world is guilty of. No matter what position in society they hold, from the drug addicts to the bishops greed has at once consumed their thoughts. This is a natural emotion for a human to feel, but the question is how we go from natural emotions to something that fuels our everyday. When one starts to commit crimes and acts that may harm others or is immoral just for their own gain and slowly goes out of control or has no intention to stop anytime, it can be derived that the greed has made his self control disappear. Without self control, it is very easy for anyone to give way to wicked thoughts. Therefore greed is the root of all evil.

Many may say that money is where greed comes from and thus is the root of all evil. However that is untrue as one can be greedy about other things such as positions or objects. Therefore greed is the emotion of excess and selfish desire of more of something.

In conclusion, the excessive desire of something is the root all kinds of evil. I personally do not think that money is bad or is at fault. In fact, we can use money for good causes such as for research of an incurable disease, charity or opening an orphanage. I also do not think that money should be the driving force in work or life and that we should detach ourselves from material wealth and look forward to the finer things in life such as the priceless and irreplaceable adventures, emotions, values and lessons. After all, there is no way for us to take our money along with us to our graves.
