This is important because Morrie expresses how he lost his mother at a young age. Morrie says that even 70 years later it still hurts and he misses his mother. I can relate to losing a relative and years later it still hurting and no matter how long it has been it is still sad.

This is an important quote because Morrie was giving Mitch a very important life lesson and it hits really hard. It makes a lot of sense and I think this is a really good quote. When you realize you're going to die you are gonna live with so much differently.

This quote is very important it is very true. No one really believes there going to die. People around you may unfortunately pass away but it doesn't feel real and it feels like a dream if you think that you could.

This part of the story is a very loving and sweet topic Morrie talked about. Having children in your lifetime I think is very important and you can see how positive of an experience it is. Morrie talked about how he would do it again and how children are such a special and amazing experience. This is very sweet and really just a nice part of the story.

On page 93 Morrie tells his loved ones too not stop living life because of his illness. Morrie says that just because he's sick doesn't mean he has to take away or hurt Mitch and his children's lives. You can tell that Morrie really loves and cares for both his children and Mitch. Morrie is very positive despite going through an incredibly tough time.

In this passage Morrie explains to Mitch how family is not just about love, but how it is also the way we look out for each other. Morrie explains how he misses his mother and how he misses the way she'd always look out for him. Morrie called in "spiritual security" and he clearly valued it a lot and I really agree with him. I love knowing that my loved ones look out and care for me. It's good to know that there always here for me when I need them.

This quote by Morrie is very important and I believe it's very true. Despite how successful or unsuccessful you may be, you shouldn't try to brag about it or compare it to others. I heavily agreed on how Morrie brought up that people at the top will look down on you no matter what and people at the bottom will envy you.

On page 128, Morrie explains to Mitch how listening to others problems and making them smile make him happy and it's important. Morrie tells Mitch that making people feel better and giving them a shoulder to learn on makes him feel alive. Morrie believes giving to others makes him feel alive but things like cars,homes, and money aren't things that make him feel that way. I agree with Morrie in the sense that talking to others, hearing others out, and being in the moment with others also makes me feel more alive. I think cars, homes , and money are all great but it's not quite the same as a real relationship and conversations with people you love.

On page 135, Morrie tells Mitch how he believes in being fully present when with or in conversation with another person. This means that if you are talking to a person you're fully locked into the conversation and only thinking and talking about that. I try my best to do this as I also believe this is important but there can be time when I am in a conversation and my mind starts to wonder. But I do believe that what Morrie says here is important and all people should try their best to stay present and stay in the moment.

This passage on page 149 stood out to me because Morrie talked to Mitch about marriage. I'm not married but I do and see the importance of it. I strongly believe that marriage is something that is so special and it's very important in today's society. From what I know and understand, Morrie's opinion on it seems very true and I agree. I can see how people get tested and they get tested for who they are and how their going to handle different situations.

On page 148, Morrie talks about how you should be yourself and don't let society change who you are. I believe that this is important because in my life society changes and people change with it. But I try my hardest to make sure nothing and no one will change me and who I am. I value myself more then I value society and what people like or think is cool. I like to be my own self with my own morals.

On page 156, in this small passage Morrie explains to Mitch how people have shortsightedness. He also said how people should look and focus on their potential and what they can become. I really liked this part of the book because I heavily agreed with Morrie. I can relate to this in many ways because I try to look and acknowledge my potential and what I can be. I look at this in things like as a student, as a football player, in the weight room, and as a person. I think all people should look at their potential and strive to what they can become.
