Relating back to my research task I had done at the start of the year about my friends who were interested in indie-pop, I was then able to exceed further with the information I already had and then look at secondary data about my genre on a global scale. the research task helped me develop ideas about fashion, hobbies and the mood of my target audience, this helped me develop further cultural ideas which would fit in with the conventions of my design. My conventions were inspired by the style and interests of my target audience. From the research, my target audience would me mainly female and aged 15-30. It also helped that I had an interest in this genre and was able to fit in with the target audience, making it easier for me to find suitable information about the social groups who i would be appealing to.

Wishing society, there are many different social groups, so I needed to see who exactly I was appealing to. during my research and planning, i learned that your target audience drive you to create new and interesting ideas for a magazine as it will fit their needs but also have some difference. I had to look at things such as hobbies, fashion and music style so that my connects would be appealing to them. If I didn't have a variety of social groups as my target audience, it would be hard to see what my audience wanted to see and wouldn't be easy to research. For example, If I didn't know the gender or age of my target audience, I would have any ideas of who I would be aiming my magazine at.

My magazine conventions are very much inspired by the style of my target audience. The social groups I will be appealing to are females with and age range of 15-30 years old who have an interest in music. My genre consists of two types of music which are indie music and pop music. This gives me a bit more variety to appeal to different audiences.

Content
My contents all relates to the music industry. I have used different images and articles involving music to appeal to my age ranges. The language I have used also shows how I am involving different social groups as I have used a mature text to appeal to my young adults. In addition, the colours I have used are quite eye-catching and bright which may interest females and young adults.

Imagery
I have included a variety of images in my magazine to keep things interesting. The poses used by my models also make my magazine stand out as it could help my target audience relate to the mood or feelings that my images give. When I have researched magazines enjoyed by my target audience, imagery has been very important in terms of engaging with an audience.

Message/symbols/connotations
I wanted my product to have a meaning which different social groups could relate too. My language and images within my magazine give out an inspirational message in some way which social groups can connect too. I also tried to make each of my construction relatable and inspiring for young readers. all of my conventions have some sort of connotation that my target audience can interpret.
