I learnt all about recycling, reusing and solar energy. We had so much fun learning about the world!

Now i am exited for next weeks lesson because we get to dress up Photon and it will walk down the runway!

we used Canva to do our eco bot explorers writing

story about the eco bot explorers. I really enjoy using Canva because it is easy to understand and fun to use. It helps me be creative by giving me many templates, colours and designs to use from. I love using canva because it makes my work look neat and colourful.

The robots are cleaning the pizzeria.

We planted basil, tomatoes, lettuce, and peppers. We got our hands dirty and worked together to take care of them. We watered them and helped them grow.

Then we used technology.
We programmed our micro:bits and used sensors to check how wet the soil was.

We looked at:

• Plants with lots of water

• Plants with only a little water

We used our code to collect real data and see what happened to the plants.

Next, we will write what we found, make graphs, and measure how our plants grow.

I think Eco Bot Explorers is really fun because we learn about plants, science, and technology at the same time.

We learned about global warming and renewable energy, especially solar power. That means using the sun to make energy, which is really cool!

Then we got to build our own solar-powered helicopters! We followed the steps on our tablets and made them all by ourselves. It was a bit tricky, but we helped each other and worked as a team.

My favorite part was going outside in the sunshine to test them. When the sun shined on them, the helicopter blades started spinning! It was amazing to see it actually work!

I had so much fun learning and building. I love doing projects like this!

I am so happy that we did this at school.

We were learning about the three states of matter and how water can change. First, we made hot tea and poured it into a container. Then we put a small cup in the middle and covered the top. After that, we added ice cubes on top.

The hot tea made steam (gas) that went up and touched the cold top. Then it turned back into water droplets and dripped into the cup as clear water! 💧 It was amazing because the tea stayed behind, and only the clean water went into the cup.

After the experiment, I wrote my conclusion and did a test on my laptop using Live Worksheets 💻

I learned a lot and it was really fun!

We learnt about the states of matter, mainly about water.

The experiment was about changing dirty water into crystal clean water.

We poured the hot tea into a container and put a small cup in the middle covering the top.

Then we put an ice cube on top.

Since the tea was hot and made steam, the steam touched the cold top that turned into water droplets and dripped into the cup.

The part that we enjoyed most was observing how the water dropped clearer than ever!

We opened a tea bag and poured it all in with the tealeaves and everything. We put an ice cube on top and waited for it to evaporate. After it evaporated we saw a lot of clean water in the little container.

But with the help of each other yet we still managed. First we made a cup of tea and then filtered it. What happened was the water slowly filtered and the tea was like left behind. IT WAS VERY VERY FUN. This shows us that by time our waters can get dirty many homes can get lost for animals

In our super fun Eco Bit Explorers project, I am learning about AI and how computers can see things. We taught the computer to know traffic lights, road signs, and people so it can help make roads safer! 🚦🤖

But we didn’t stop there! In my group we built our own eco city and made it green and cool. 🌱🏙️ Then we coded a Photon robot to drive by itself in our city. It can stop at red lights and follow the rules, just like a real car!

I learned how technology can help stop accidents and make fewer mistakes. I also worked with my friends, solved problems, and used my imagination. 💡🤝

This was such an awesome adventure❤️ I feel like a real coder and city builder

We used Photon, sphero balls, scratch junior and Engino blocks. It was an amazing day!

It was so much fun because we mixed technology, art, and creativity together. I learned that small actions, like reusing old things, can help make the Earth cleaner and better for everyone. 🌍♻️

Thank you so much to the National STEM Community Fund for giving us the Sphero robots, tuff trays, fabric paint, acrylic pens, nature stencils, paint brushes, and lots of art materials. 🙏🤖💙 Because of them, we could enjoy this amazing activity and learn in a fun way

What we needed to do was go on tablet and give Photon the directions and when we were finished we pressed start and Photon will move on what ever we coded him to do.

I especially enjoyed watching the children participate with so much excitement and confidence. It was clear that a lot of effort had gone into preparing the event, and the positive atmosphere made everyone feel welcome. Community Day was not only entertaining but also a great way for parents to connect with teachers and other families.

Events like this help create a strong sense of belonging and teamwork within the school. I left feeling proud to be part of such a caring and supportive community.

Community day was absolute magic! We got to turn into gardeners and scientists for the day! Hanging out with friends outside the classroom and getting to experience so many cool experiments made it truly the best day ever!

Community day was such a heartwarming success, and honestly, the energy was just infectious! It was wonderful seeing the kids' eyes light up at the STEM booths, especially when they got to mess around with hands-on science experiments. Moments like this reminds us how special our school family is, giving parents, teachers, and children unforgettable memories together.

On Community Day we had a lovely time doing different activities. The activity I enjoyed most was Coding the Sphero robot trough all the obstacles. I also enjoyed coding the Photon robot to pass on the good flashcards and avoid the bad flashcards. We also had an activity where we planted a beautiful plant in the school garden. In the garden we made our own flute with just 12 plastic straws and tape. The school provided a timpana and ice-creams before we left. It was an amazing day that I will never forget.
