Tell a child how to clean up dolls and clothing

1. I would tell the child it’s almost time to tidy the dolls. Once time is up, I would say “Time to put the dolls where they belong!”

2. I would show them the bin they belong in. I would put pictures on the bins, so they learn to tell which toys go in which bins.

3. Sing a song to them while cleaning up. So next time you sing it they know it’s time to clean up.

4. When they are done give them a High Five or a Sticker to show appreciation they did a good job

Colleen

One of my colleagues or I would ask the preschoolers to tidy up and let them know it's snack time after everything is put away. We would ask them to make a line either at the bathroom or kitchen sink. One person would stand beside the preschoolers who are waiting in line, and another would help guide the preschooler on how to wash their hands

-Jocelyn
