It showed that the parents or educator tried to pull up the child into a sitting position where it seemed uncomfortable for the child. It would hurt him and is not healthy towards his physiological development. There is no rush for the child to sit up because according to development milestones by Arnold Gesell, there is normative behaviour and stages for the child to mature (the concept of the child's readiness) with the predetermined growth and development.

 Firstly, the child (12:09) used his right knee to lift himself up off from  the ground while his hands and arm support onto the wooden stairs. Secondly, he used his foot to help him to  stand up and balance himself before climbing up further. As he wanted to go down the stairs on the other side, he used his tummy to  slid down  and  his hands to support him. He repeated this process of going up and down the wooden stairs a few times. This child was exploring out on his own on what he needs to do to climb up and climb down the stairs without falling. According to Piaget, children are active learners. They interact and explore with their physical and social environment which it will be essential for cognitive development. They learn through sense and movement.
