I chose this slogan because, the wording is really catchy. Normally, people with really catchy phrases get elected because their slogan is always running through their voters head.

The first thing I want to do is help our economy. I want Alabamians to be able to save more money. I plan to tackle this issue by working with the legislature to expand tax credits for families. Our grocery tax in Alabama has decreased but I want to see it eliminated. This will help all the people of Alabama put food on their table.

It is important for all Alabama residents to be able to read. I want to increase programs in elementary schools that will help elementary students become strong readers. This will set them up for school success! I have had great teachers that have helped me. I want to see teachers rewarded with pay raises. This will motivate them to continue to teach.

The Department of Justice has told Alabama that our prisons are in bad shape. I recommend we use any extra money to hire more prison guards and build newer prisons to help with overcrowding. This will improve safety in prisons.

The Department of Justice claims that "prisons are so bad that they constitute cruel and unusual punishment." If I was elected Governor, I would increase the number of guards in the prisons, and expand the prison space. I would do this because, the prisons are overcrowded with prisoners and conditions are unsafe. I would add programs in prison that will help prisoners prepare to get jobs when they are released. I will accomplish this by using any budget surplus and apply for any government money that could be spent on prison reform.

As Governor, I will work to improve elementary reading scores by encouraging the legislature to approve more money for reading programs that help kindergartners through 3rd grade. In the past, Alabama has scored low in reading on tests, and I want to help change this and help these students succeed.

I also will encourage the legislature to approve teacher pay raises so that Alabama can keep good teachers in their classrooms.

By improving education, Alabama students will be better prepared for careers and their future.

As Governor, I want to see Alabama ahead of other states in education.

If I was elected Governor, I would expand child care tax credits for families. This will help parents afford childcare and continue to work in their jobs. This will help the economy because more people will be working. Furthermore, I would work with the legislature to reduce the grocery tax even more. This will help families have more money in their pockets and will help families provide more food for their loved ones.
