Some examples of how humans modify, depend on,and adapt to the land is when someone adapts to the land they have to get used to how the land is. Modifying land is when you change it for what you want. You make yours almost. When someone is depending on the land that's when they need or strive for something in that land. For example, when out in the woods and your camping out, you are depending on the weather to keep you safe .
