A tornado begins to form once there is a severe thunderstorm. The air close to the ground begins to get warm and humid and a sudden change in wind speed occurs. As the cool air comes down from the cloud, the humid air rises creating unusual wind cycles. A rotating column, also known as a vortex begins to form at the top of the storm cloud. Once it slowly makes its way down onto the ground, a tornado is then formed.

As stated before, Tornados usually form during thunderstorms. Since the weather pattern usually is the same, you can imagine that the seasonal pattern is the same aswell.
