In the first session of this module, two of the teachers M.Miran and Dr. Karwan introduced the general idea of what we will learned in this module.
From the beginning and from the introduction I felt that this module will be an important module and challenged for learning. In this module we will learn the three main themes which are ( teaching methods, assessment tools, and learning environment)
Another point that we talked about it was the 21 century skills because we are in the 21 century of course the earning skills are changed from that we have learning in the past. Some of the new learning skills are Hologram and Facial recognition to monitor student attention in class which is applied at Chinese school, also virtual reality used as a 21 century skills that used as a tool for research and training. The Most popular learning skills in 21 century are learning skills like Critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication. another thing that we have to learned is literacy skills like Technology literacy and life skills like social skills.
At the end of these two session I have learned the main point in the creative pedagogy are creative teaching, teaching for creativity and creative learning.

Learning Diary (Theme 1) (Session 3)-Teaching Methods

In the third session we are going in detail about the first theme which is teaching methods. The session was started with a quote "If you want someone to remember your message in a presentation, an article, or a report. tell them a story." because the story will be more remember able so our lecture as a teacher we can tell the main point to be received or to be more effective by students we can tell within a story .
Another point that we talked about it in this session is how to manage time in our class as a lecturer or teacher. As I learned from my friends for time management in class we have to start with a short review about the last lecture and then start the new lecture as we prepared also we can prepare some questions to ask the student during the lecture, also we can take some minutes break to back here attention , and in the end of the lecture we have to do a quick review and tell the student to do a homework and assignment for the next lecture.
About the teaching methods, we learned some teaching methods which are effective and interesting for learn a student and learner. The first method was fish-bowel learning which it more about discussion, one topic is presented or asked by a moderator (management) to a inner circle of learner which consist of about 5 learner to discuss a topic, another student which in outer circle will be quiet and take notice and be ready to participate in the discussion.
Another teaching method is Authentic learning which it is more about how to connect the lecture examples with the real word problems to be more interesting to a student to learn.
The third method is gamification and game based learning which is using a game s part of the learning process. A flipped learning method is opposite of traditional learning because in traditional learning the teacher teach a lecture and student doing a homework at home. But in the flipped learning the contents or a materials available online and student will study them and doing assignment and solve a problem before a day of lecture, and in the next day the class will be a discussion day and the problems are discussed and explained by a teacher and learner together..
In conclusion, I have learned a more interesting and important teaching methods from this session that I can be used as a teacher in a class or out of lass to learn a student.

Learning Diary(Theme 2) (Session 4,5,6)- Creating a Positive Learning Environment

A positive learning environment is one of the most critical components of a skills-based health education classroom. A positive learning environment is created when you value participatory teaching and learning and when there is trust and rapport among students and between yourself and students. Many factors contribute to a learning environment, including the students, teachers, parents, school staff, policy makers, specialists, support staff, community members and the different learning spaces and resources available. As a teacher it is our responsibility to set up our learning environment to maximize student learning and achieving.

As educators I believe it is important to create a learning climate within and surrounding your classroom. An environment where students feel their opinions are considered and valued. By creating an open, caring environment students are more likely to take risks, and to develop the understanding that it is ok to fail and try again. This ability to learn from mistakes and move on is a vital skill in life, and one which students will find valuable both inside and out of the classroom.

Building upon the learning climate within the classroom, it is vital for teachers to take the time to build relationships with their students, to develop a rappel and level of respect whilst getting to know students strengths and weaknesses as well as their interests. By taking the time to get to know students, teachers are able to cater to students likes and dislikes and levels of abilities through adaption of classroom materials and procedures, thus creating a more enjoyable and successful learning outcome.

Finally, Extending on relationships, the partnership between teachers and parents/carers and teachers and teachers can be a rich source of information and play an important role within the development of an inclusive school nature.
https://zhwanrashid.blogspot.com

Learning Diary (Theme 3) (Session 7,8,9) -Assessment Tools

The third theme was starting with this qout “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn”. This is an interesting qout about learning and I want to don’t forget it all of my life and to remember in any lecture when I will teach when become a teacher in future, to focus on learning and involve student to learn. The most important purpose to assess is: we assess to guide learning process, to provide evidence, to identify the level of knowledge’s learner, and finally to give certificate base on reflective competence. The main things to assess are (knowledge, skill and attitude). However our assessment should have three characteristics which are: 1. should be reliable means differentiation between levels of students. 2. Should be validity means measure the knowledge and skill characteristics, and 3. Have education impact means the relation between the assessment and learning. Another point that we talked about it in this session is timing, there are three time we can do assessment: the first one is called summative means the teacher doing assessment at the end of Couse, the second one called formative means the teacher doing assessment at any time during the course, and the last one called assessment as learning (self and peer) at this time the learner doing assessment at any time he/ she want. The final point in this session that discussed was the types of assessment, there are different types of assessment that used for different purposes I written here most of them which are (Diagnostic assessment, Formative assessment, Summative assessment, Confirmative assessment, Norm-referenced assessment, Criterion-referenced assessment, Ipsative assessment, and Interim/Benchmark assessment. It is more important to use a different types of assessment because if we use one type of assessment may some student or learner don’t be understand, also using one method may don’t achieve all the outcomes that we need, so multiple method should be used.

For assessing each of (knowledge, skills, and attitude) the different methods of assessment are used. For example for assessing the knowledge’s of student some different tools are used like: Multiple-choice Question (MCQs), Short Answer Questions (Fill-in-the-blank), Single Essay questions, Modified Essay Questions (Multiple), Oral Presentation (OP), Group Project (GPs), and more.). By using the MCQs tools the teacher can assess the remember and understanding the student according to the level of questions this tool may be good or bad for all student so the questions should be from easy to difficult to demonstrate the level or order of student. And for assessment of performance or skills of an individual it did by doing an actual task such as activities, exercises, or problems. It gives the student full understanding of a topic or concept by applying it in real situations and makes him/her actively demonstrate what she/he knows and what she/he does not know. Assessment of performance also conducted by means of: Case studies (real life case), Problem Based learning (PBL), Field Trips, and Lab Experimentation, and Graduation Projects. The Last assessment is assessment of attitude; they are based on emotions (Feeling of Like and Dislike). Another important point in assessment tools is a rubric. A rubric is a tool that teachers used to assess many different types of assignments including written work, projects, speeches, and more. Every rubric is divided in to a set of criteria with a list of scale which includes a number and descriptions to evaluate the performance of the written work.

The Last session of this module is a group presentation about different assessment tools/methods. Each group presents a one type of assessment tool which are 7 methods (G1-Lab Experimentation, G2-Case Study, G3-Oral Presentation, G4-Field Trip, G5-Graduation Project, G6- Project Based Learning, and last G7-Problem Based learning). Our group is G4 so we prepare for a Field trip, we chose a Field Trip for a company and required to prepare a field trip format example to give to the student before a trip , and using assessment tool to evaluate when they return, so we choose a presentation means its required to student to prepare a presentation for their trip to show their understanding and improve knowledge about a process and company overall, Finally its required to prepare a rubric form as a teacher to evaluate and assess the students presentation.

In conclusion, from this module I was feeling challenged and interested about the module and themes that we learned, I would like to thank you both teachers Dr. Karwan and M. Miran to give us this important module and your best effort to teach us a new pedagogical learning subject. I was really learning anew thing about learning methods and assessment tools that I want to apply them in future when I will be a teacher.
