Our Senior Phase Careers Fair is held annually, in time to inspire and enthuse our Senior Phase pupils towards the career or destination of their choice. Your attendance at the Careers Fair will be invaluable for our pupils, offering them valuable and relevant advice about their career choice, relevant information on your particular area or speciality. There is no greater influence than that of someone who can talk informatively about the requirements to enter a particular field, the pros and cons and how to get into a particular field.

We would like to invite you as a guest to help deliver these interviews and support our young people to prepare for life after school. This is part of our plans to ‘Develop the Young Workforce’ and offer a variety of learning pathways for our young people.

The event on the 26^{th of} February would start at midday when our Senior Hospitality students would prepare and serve you a light lunch and we would aim to start the interview(s) at 1.15pm. Following this we would hope that you would be able to conduct six, 15-minute individual interviews. Breaks would be provided, and the day would finish no later than 3.30pm.

As a school we will provide all participants with a pack which will include questions, feedback sheets, etc. However, if you as an employer would like to provide and use your own materials, this would be very welcome. All we require from the day is a copy of the feedback from the interview for each student. We will use this to help them develop their skills in this area. We are also required to keep this as evidence of our engagement with the students.

If you, or a representative, would like to attend on the day, could you please reply to Laura Grant (nlgrantl6@northlan.org.uk), no later than Monday 10^th February to allow us to organise the interviews and cater for the event. If you have any dietary requirements, could you also include this in the email.

During this focus week we aim to provide a range of careers inspired experiences for S1-S6 Pupils and this can include practical workshops, site visits and year group assemblies where Guest Speakers present and provide industry and pathway information to pupils.

The event is designed to give our young people the opportunity to explore a wide range of career pathways, develop aspirations for their future, and gain valuable insights directly from professionals like yourself. We expect attendance from young people across S3 - S6 and anticipate a lively, engaging atmosphere where employers and young people can connect.

• Practical advice about the skills, qualifications, and attributes that employers look for
