Also, he analyzed and explained the aim of this module. And we positively discussed about modern pedagogy. In this lesson and in the discussion or exchange of views between the participants, I learned that the Innovative pedagogical methods and assessment tools module is about how to select and apply teaching methods and assessment tools. Also, I investigated that this module composited from three major themes including teaching methods, assessment tools, and making suitable learning environments, in this module we will learn and talk about different teaching methods to find out which one is aligned in our class to be applied. Moreover, we discussed how to create a learning environment where students are motivated, encourage them to participate, focus, and interest the topics in the class. In my opinion the motivate of students, creating learning environment, and building trust between students and teacher are most important and not easy to apply because there are many other reasons out of control of teacher that make students not interesting to learn for example politic issues, future work, number of students in a class, class requirements (equipments, tools), that have negative effect on the students and cause most of them come and concern only to get certificate not to learn. However, teachers could motivate students by design lectures and connect it with real students’ life, building trust, making environment in a class where students enjoy, participate and discuss topics.After that we discussed about some assessment tools such as (Hologram, Facial recognition, Virtual reality, Doulingo app). In my opinion and I learned that all of these tools are very interesting in teaching process especially both Hologram and Virtual reality, because they makes the learner easier to get to the intended lesson and more focused on the subject. And it also makes it easier for teachers to spend less time delivering desired content to students. That means more information is communicated with less fatigue and less time. But in my view these tools are not easy for our country because they need a special environment and more cost.Week 1- Day 2 ( 30 / 6 / 2021 )In the second day of first week we discussed and talked about 21Century skills for learner. After a positive discussion and exchange the views between participants, it became clear and all the participants agreed that the learner needed to be parallel with his or her expertise and purpose to be proficient in other skills of the 21century. Also, in my opinion, the learner parallel with his or her expertise must to be has more information about the modern technology especially the communication system, and in the field of human development, as well as aware of and understand the culture of the community and its local changes. And he/she must to pay more attention to team work learning and stay away from work alone to get more and more different information and ideas.And the importance of language, especially English language in the teaching and learning system was discussed. In my opinion, learning a foreign language, especially English language, which is a world language, is of great importance in the learning and teaching system, but this does not mean that without of English language we cannot learn to be creative, and English language dose not the main tool in the learning system but is of the important tool.Week 2- Day 1 ( 5 / 7 / 2021 )In the first lesson of the second week, teaching methods, including lecturing, Seminar, Writing assignment, workshops, laboratory, graduation project, and work placement have been discussed. We discussed these methods especially lecturing and workshops. In our discussions there are many new idea were presented as follows:About lecturing:1- In lecturing method you can give a lot of information to the student in a short time.2- Class control is very easy in that your information and alerts reaches all students at the same time.3- Teacher etiquette and voice have a great impact on reach your information to students.And about workshop These works needs to be done before starting a workshop.1- The purpose of the workshop needs to be clarified.2- Participants need to be determined and participation not to be a free.3- Special hall need to be set up to workshops.4- Discussions and activities need to come together in one point, which is the purpose of the workshop.Week 2- Day 2 ( 7 / 7 / 2021 )On this day, we talked about learning environment. There was a positive discussion about how to make a positive learning environment. In the discussion and exchange of views between the participants I gained some important views and information which are summarized below.There are some positive effect to creating positive learning environment such as:1- Creating a spirit of cooperation in the teaching process among learners2- Facilitate the learner to make him or her feel more passionate about the lesson.3- Creating self-confidence of the learner.4- Safety of learners and teachers.5- Build trust and respect between learners and teachers.6- Making excellent communication between learners and teachers.7- Organizing class details by the teacher.Week 3- Day 1 ( 12 / 7 / 2021 )On this day, seven groups have been created for presenting the teaching methods, each group wrote the challenges and presented their topics that were arranged in a poster. The topics of our group poster were (Playing games in the classroom and Debate). In our topics, we presented the Debate poster, and in this lesson I received a lot of important and unheard-of information about learning methods that were provided by each of the groups and in our work (Debate) during preparing our poster I received the following information about debate :1- Debate is more formal way of communicating. 2- Debate is a method of interactive and representational arguments;3- Debate is a series of lectures for and against on a given topic by knowledgeable person.4- Debate is a contest where a two teams present their arguments intent on persuading one another.Also, I investigated that there are more different types of debate such as:1- Election Debate.2- Cross examination debate.3- Academic debate.4- Parliamentary debate.5- Lincoln Douglas debate.Week 3- Day 2 ( 14 / 7 / 2021 )This lesson was an extension of the second lesson in the second week, which focused on positive learning environment. There was a positive discussion between the participants about the shortcomings of the learning environment of Kurdistan's universities compared to the universities of other countries. And there are several solutions to the shortcomings mentioned. But unfortunately due to the poor governance of the country in general and our universities in particular there is no optimism to treat the shortcomings of our university teaching environment. Also, we learned to create the blogger cite and how to use blogger. Week 4- Day 1 ( 26 / 7 / 2021 )In this lesson, assessment tools were discussed. Especially the types and characteristics of assessments. That I took from this lesson and learned that the purpose of assessment is to determine as accurately as possible what students should know, understand, and be able to do. In the differentiated classroom, assessment must provide clear information on student progress with regard to classroom content, processes, and products. This information helps teachers make wise, informed decisions about the needs of their students and the direction their instruction should take. Also assessment have four main types including Dignostic, Formative, Interim, and Summative. Also, assessments have several important characteristics. In my opinion the most important of them are:1. Consider what the student has learned and not what he is wearing!2. Take into account the student's understanding, not the background. 3. Try not to compete if it was healthy and friendly. 4. The student is able to come to this assessment on his or her own, which means he or she can correct the weak points and keep the strong ones going.5. To continue, the teacher should constantly evaluate his students, not once or twice for the whole school year. 6. The teacher should be subjective in his assessments and not make personal judgments. This means that the teacher does not include his or her hatred and anger in the assessment. 7. To test the teacher, ask questions that are important and workable, not to go into the holes and cracks of books and writings. Considering the question of Suk and the Center, and so on.Week 4- Day 2 ( 28 / 7 / 2021 )In this lesson, we discussed on the assessment methods which are stratigies, techniques, and instruments that are used for collecting information to determine learner's level of achieving the set learning outcomes. In my opinion the combination of assessment methods is very important in teaching methods because the learner may not be good in one of the skills but in other skills he will be very good at taking and learning the topics that the teacher is talking about in the classroom.Week 5- Day 1 ( 2 / 8 / 2021 )On this day, which was a last day of this module seven groups have been created for presenting the final assignments, each group wrote the challenges and presented their topics that were arranged in a presentation. The topic of our group was (Graduation project). That we presented some information about graduation project, and we clarified the requirements and rubric of our suggested graduation project.
