This is my integrated math lesson's first draft, which I have named "Patterns in Nature". I created it for KG2 learners and involves 3 developmentally appropriate, activity hands-on, differentiated and integrated activities, including assessment strategies and plenary.

Strengths:

I really enjoyed using natural materials in the collage activity; it helps the children to connect math with nature.

A wide variety of assessment strategies shows a deep understanding of individual differences among learners.

Areas for Improvement:

Consider rephrasing learning outcomes to be more child-friendly and observable.

Perhaps adding some pictures or diagrams to the lesson plan would help other teachers with implementation.

To Peer 1:

Thank you for your suggestion. I have integrated visual examples and pattern samples (examples implemented with codes to show AB/ABC patterns) in the Explain portion. I have also increased the duration of the Pattern Path Game. Optional extension activities are included.

To Peer 2:

The provision you rendered regarding the learning outcomes is really something to be appreciated. I do appreciate using the child-friendly language in instruction. But actually, these learning outcomes are so deliberately crafted for teacher reference regarding planning, observation, and assessment in this lesson plan. In actual class delivery, I will translate them into simpler child-friendly language for a better understanding by children. Also, I've included example images in the lesson plan to support teacher clarity.

On top that visual aids and instruction time changes have been made. Sample visuals have been attached so that teacher understanding could be informed.

The rationale explains why these teaching strategies, activities, and assessment methods were selected and how they contribute to math learning in early childhood.
